The week ahead: January 6th through January 12th of 2020:

We have a full moon lunar eclipse on the 10th in the sign of Cancer. If you think you’ve been emotional lately, wait for it cause this full moon, in it’s home sign, looks to be bringing the emotions big time. Cancer is a water sign and water signs ask us to pay attention to what we’re feeling and this includes our psychic senses and intuition–all of it’s going to be on high alert. Tune in to this space and listen to what it’s telling you; dreams, reveries, daydreams, sudden insights, and repeating messages are going to give you insight into whats been unconsciously digging at, pushing, or motivating you, maybe even what you need to let go of. The only way you can be aware of any of these keys coming forward though, is to be present in this moment. Even if this week you only pay attention to how many times you dip out mentally (either by freaking out about the future or staying stuck in the past), you can begin to realize how you’re giving your power away by not being here in this very moment; this would be an important juncture, considering that acknowledgement has given you the ability to get that power back.

Cancer stands for all thing family, home, ancestry, roots, and mother, so know that these themes will be on the table, too. Be aware, be ready, and most importantly, be compassionate with yourself on whatever pops up for you. Treat yourself like a loving mother would to her beloved child and take care of your emotional needs.

Working with water in any capacity might bring insight as well, so consider scrying in a bowl of water, taking a healing or releasing bath, speaking with a therapist for resolution and allowing your feelings to come forward in a safe space, or swimming as a part of your exercise regimen, all the while drinking enough water to keep yourself hydrated. The worst thing you could do right now is be afraid of your emotions or insights. These are gifts given to you to help in assisting your way through this world; it’s your GPS system. Besides, if you decide to tap in, allow your stuff to come forward, and then empower yourself with what you learn, you’ll be doing this Capricorn season right by working smarter, not harder 💖

So  how can we work with the energy of this week? My advice is this: Use the magic of this full moon and put a bowl of water out to soak up all the goodness. You can use that water to scry in, add to your bath, water plants or your alter plants with, or even drink yourself. If you make any sprays, you can add it to bring in some more oomph corresponding with the element of that moon. Since we have a water moon, you can expect your sprays (and whatever else you use it for) to be cleansing and renewing. Extra points if you add some crystals to it, like rainbow moonstone, pearls, abalone shell, coral, ocean jasper, or aquamarine.

Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–choose what you’re drawn to). The top card is the overarching theme for everyone and it’s something to keep in mind or to remember, no matter what energy shows up for you as the week goes on. The stone you see in the picture above is ocean jasper. Like all Jaspers, Ocean Jasper alleviates stress and induces tranquility. Its cleansing effect eliminates negative energy and stabilizes the aura. It makes an ideal worry or rubbing stone for soothing the nerves and increasing one’s focus, and is a wonderful stone for banishing nightmares or harmful thoughts. A polished sphere of Ocean Jasper is particularly conducive for meditation, and is greatly enhanced by soft silver candlelight or moonlight. Use Ocean Jasper as a talisman of patience, for oneself as well as for others. It enkindles a gentle and gradual release of pent-up anger and clears emotional blockages. Orbicular Jaspers are “taking care of business stones” and encourage one to view each circular mark as a sign of a project or detail that needs to be addressed. They aid in the acceptance of responsibility and are particularly supportive of pursuits based on service to others. Ocean Jasper is a marvelous stone for healers and counselors to nurture themselves as they help others, and to be more empathetic to others’ emotional and mental needs while still remaining objective in their work. Overarching theme: The Wheel of Fortune: The Wheel of Fortune illuminates the ever-shifting highs and lows that lead us through our dance with life. With this energy comes the sensation of inevitable fate or potential opportunity, depending on how you look at it. It promises to consider the underlying patterns that repeatedly emerge over time, and how we choose to respond to the circumstances we are faced with. It also indicates the habit we eventually learn to break and the karmic lessons that persist throughout life times. By these cycles agreed transformational energy moves through the wheel, allowing us to work with our shadows, so that we may appreciate and build upon the precious moments that make it all worthwhile. Without the challenges and the lessons, The beauty around us would seem less brilliant and alive. How can we live in the gift of this present moment and take it all in stride? Questions to ask yourself this week: Where have my silver linings shown up? What repeating patterns am I ready to let go of? Additional Meanings: Transformation • Change • Karma • Silver linings.

If you chose card #1: Your message this week is about the Knight of Swords. Your card goes on to say that An enthusiastic, assertive individual who is highly intelligent and attuned to their goals. The Knight of Swords views the world around them as a playground of opportunities and sets high standards for themselves, working to the brink of their potential and endurance. They can appear intimidating to others, as not many people can live up to this high level of intensity or demand. They may appear antisocial, curt or abrasive at times, and pay no attention to criticism or judgment. Often demonstrating a minor lack of foresight, but great determination in achieving what they want. This key encourages us to have faith in our dreams, to enforce our inner confidence, and to stand strong and true at every corner and turn. We are powerful, unique, and brilliant in our own right. Questions to ask yourself right now: How can I sustain this acceleration of energy? How can I refine my plans and assert my direction? Your mantra this week: I overcome the challenges and turns. I am powerful and articulate. Additional Meanings: Honest • Critical • Impulsive • Ambitious • Self-determined.

If you chose card #2: Your message this week is about the Ten of Swords. Your card goes on to say that this key shows up during catastrophic events that are deeply traumatic or unexpected and can also allude to lying or deceit on the part of someone you trusted. Despite these shadows, the Ten of Swords indicates the end of a cycle which transforms into a new beginning, although some kind of sacrifice or internal release may be necessary along the way. This can mean having to take the hit of a final challenge before progressing to a new stage, or coming to terms with an inevitable loss or hardship. By processing and letting go of this phase of your life, you will learn to move forward with illumination and strength. It marks the transformative power of those brutal experiences that put everything else into perspective, when we are pushed to the brink of our limits and then gradually come up for air. After this, we are resilient, wiser, and ready for anything. Questions to ask yourself right now: How can I seek out support at this time? What am I clinging onto? Your mantra: I surrender to the deepest lessons. I relinquish the burdens. Additional Meanings: Recovery • Tipping point • Hurt • Release. Transmutation.
If you chose card #3: Your message this week is about the Three of Cups. Your card goes into say that this is a sublime omen to receive, the Three of Cups draws upon the brilliant moments that shine on in our memories, and the foundation of soul connections that endure for lifetimes. This is a very dynamic energy, and can also foretell an emergence of spiritual and psychic growth, as you learn to activate your deepest senses and gifts. Let your heart guide you along this path – it knows exactly where it wants to take you. In surrounding yourself with loved ones – whether they are relatives or lifelong partners and friends – expect adventure and endless nights of play! If you’ve been over exerting yourself in some way, now may be a good time to relax and take a break. Give yourself permission to explore the beauty of this chapter: take a load off and put your feet up after you’ve had time to dance and celebrate! What future adventures lie just beyond the horizon? Questions to ask yourself right now: How can I take some time to relax with my soul family? Am I ready to step back and celebrate? Your mantra: I replenish my cup with the water of my soul. I allow this interlude to forge new journeys and ideas. Additional Meanings: Abundance • Healing • Community • Birthing • Fun!
This is your week! Make it an amazing one 😊
