The week ahead: August 15th through August 21st:

1

We have a full moon this Thursday the 18th in the sign of Aquarius! As you well know, full moons are a time of completion, where new projects we started at the new moon, start to show their potential now. We can close one chapter and continue on to the next, granted that we’ve done the work needed to get there. Full moons also highlight our relationships as well, so there should be a focus on family and those close to us and since this new moon is in the sign of the community, our view of relationships on a bigger scale might be at play now. Aquarius is a weird sign (and I adore their strangeness)—they LOVE all new technological things and are THE sign of the rebel. Aquarius’s are geared toward the bigger picture and the community at large, but more often than not, this sign has a tendency to be a loner; their stranger aspects might take over and make them feel alienated from others. So how can we use this energy to help us during this time? My suggestion is this: Be yourself and bring your whole strange, weirdo, crazy-train package to the table. Believe me when I tell you that people want it, and probably more people than you know—you might even inspire a few along the way. You need to break free from being too restrictive in some sense, whether you think you can only do one thing in this life, or you believe that people should only act a certain way–you need to let this go, especially if being restricted isn’t bringing you joy or allowing you to express yourself fully. When you’re trying out new things, make sure to experiment and have some fun, too! Aquarius loves to attempt and try new ways of doing stuff, and it’s important for them to be objective in what they find as well, so approach what your doing with an eye towards fact finding and you’ll be just fine. Remember: If you don’t like what you’re doing, you can always change it. Rebel against what’s keeping you confined this week and be ready to reach others on a wider stage <3

Think about drawing down the moon on the 18th. If you like to do incantations, prayer or mediation at the full moon, this will add some pep to your step. I like this Pagan/Wiccan incantation I found that says, “Mother Goddess, lend me your light. Give me your power on this faithful night. I invoke you into my being and soul. Fill up my vessel, make me feel whole. I stand before you in awe and in love. I cherish your gifts you send from above. I ask you tonight to show unto me. My mother, my Goddess, So Mote It Be.” Feel free to change this in any way you like or to make it your own, any way you see fit. Make sure to face the full moon and out stretch your arms so you can take everything in. Enjoy this beautiful energy!

Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two or all three cards–pick what you’re drawn to). There’s no stone this week, but I wanted to highlight the metal, copper. From a metaphysical standpoint, the meaning of copper is both energizing and grounding. It can be used to help energize when the patient is listless, excessively passive or suffering from lethargy but can also balance out the energies in someone who is overly excitable or has restless energy. Copper is a good choice for use in any sort of non-verbal 2 way communication, whether it is person to person, person to spirit, or a connection to the Universal flow of energy and information. Are you seeking specific information from someone you don’t currently have contact with? Hold a copper pendant during meditation to help connect with the Source of knowledge and get access to the information you need. If you’d like to learn more about copper, please go here.

If you chose card #1: Your message this week is about the Nine of Cups. Your card goes on to say that this is one of the most joyful and harmonious cards of the Tarot, the Nine of Cups indicates a time of satisfaction and completion! Your wishes and desires are finally beginning to manifest, leaving you with a renewed sense of emotional stability and spiritual strength. You are at a healed stage that comes after struggles have passed. Now is the time to enjoy life’s pleasures and luxuries after everything you have worked for. A positive balance of self fulfilled dreams and intuitive insights. Additional Meanings: Romantic fulfillment • Advancement • Goodwill • Dreams • Kindness • Healing • Abundance.

If you chose card #2: Your message this week is about the Star. Your card goes on to say that the Star is a beautiful omen indeed. You have every reason to feel hopeful at this time, so remember to look ahead with optimism and strength. Part of your positive outlook comes from remembering to see the beauty in life, as you have experienced the inevitable challenges along the way, yet still understand the importance of love and gratitude. From the state of knowing and trust, the serendipitous magic seems to continuously unfold around you. The Star indicates a good balance of creativity, work, desire, and soulful aspirations. Now is the time to move forward with your lifelong dreams and to do the things that make you truly happy–this will allow you to connect with your spiritual power and raise your vibration. Remember to always move forward with love and light, and your path will continue to grow brighter each day. Questions to ask yourself right now: Am I celebrating and honoring the light that surrounds me? How can I take the next evolutionary step in my own spiritual ascension? Additional Meanings: Spiritual love with others • Bright prospects • Hope • Inspiration • New beginnings • Success • Creativity.

If you chose card #3: Your message this week is about the Ace of Swords. Your card goes on to say that the Ace of Swords indicates a heightened state of spiritual and mental clarity. It is the emergence of great determination and power in order to reach your goal successfully. It marks the beginning stage, new project, plan, or vision. Very often this also connects with a new shift in consciousness, as you are able to move ahead with wisdom and truth. Now is the time to seize any opportunities or ideas that surface, in order to create new positive changes in your life. A time to stand out on your own, against all odds. Additional Meanings: Beginning • Prosperity • Joy • Victory • Determination • Power.

My hope for you this week is that in the last stretch of Leo season, you take all that you’ve learned from the last new moon (and this Leo season) and you apply it to your life, so you can live a happier more fulfilled life for you. That’s what this whole thing is about kids! When in doubt check your facts: Am I happy? Do I feel fulfilled? Am I able to express who I really am? If you can answer these questions with a yes, then you’ve passed the lesson of this full moon. If you got a no, you have some work to do! Enjoy the ride, Lovelies!

This is your week! Make it an amazing one 🙂
