The week ahead: October 12th through October 18th of 2020:

Mercury goes retrograde this week in the sign of Scorpio. We’re all aware of the dreaded Mercury Retrograde and the issues it brings, but I challenge all of us to focus on what it’s really asking from us; to go within and face any limiting beliefs, things we say and thoughts we have about ourselves when no one is looking. With it being the sign of Scorpio, everything will get very deep here and research always helps to dive into the depths we need to get to the core of our understanding. Psychology, Astrology, Engram tests and even therapy as a few examples, can offer ways of getting to know who you TRULY are, or at least invite us to ask more questions around who it is we want to be. Scorpio is a sign that isn’t afraid of digging to the roots–they actually crave it and need it to live, so if you find that you’re questioning who you are, what you’re about, your beliefs, your place in the world, the secrets you hold, or the very fabric of what makes up your internal workings, then you’ve entered into Scorpio territory. Honestly, I believe we’ve had a preview of what’s to come with this retrograde considering everything we’ve endured with Covid and staying indoors, forced to be alone with ourselves and our thoughts or the things we’ve been hiding from. This is our second chance or next chapter to go deeper on what’s already come up for review, or start the process if we’ve been avoiding it.  With Scorpio in the mix, it’s no longer an option to ignore or deny–being real, raw, and honest is the demand and if you comply, you will begin to absolutely understand how being vulnerable in this space, gives you back your power.

Not to be outdone, we also have a new moon in the sign of Libra on Friday the 16th in the sign of Libra. This a new opportunity to start over again around our relationships, seeing how justice, balance, fairness and equality factor into what it is you want from your most important connections. New moons are generally a fresh start and Libra also can deal with higher ideals and aesthetics, so what new vision or direction feels most supportive for how you’d like these interactions to play out? What new territory or next level can you and your other explore and integrate into your dynamic? This doesn’t have to be romantic either, so focus on the relationships that speak to what makes you feel beautiful, seen and heard, and to what brings out the balance in you that you’d like to work on or expand into 💖

So how can we work with the energy of this week? My advice is this: work with the elements of the new moon, starting on Sunday. Using the element of air, light a candle and speak your intentions, sing into existence what your soul longs for, do breathing exercises, say positive affirmations in the mirror, listen to binaural beat meditations, breath life into a old project that’s calling to you, speak to your person and say what’s on your mind, speak to yourself and be honest, or just scream into the void, for a few examples. The element of air asks us to focus on information and the exchange of truth and also reminds us that information is power.

Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–choose what you’re drawn to). The top card is the overarching theme for everyone and it’s something to keep in mind or to remember, no matter what energy shows up for you as the week goes on. The stone you see in the picture above is Amazonite. Amazonite assists in communicating one’s true thoughts and feelings without over-emotionalism. It also enables one to see a problem from another’s point of view in order to affect peace, or to see both sides of an issue objectively to resolve one’s own inner conflicts. Sleeping with an Amazonite can bring these components into focus through the symbolism of dreams. As a support stone, Amazonite aids in overcoming loneliness, and has been credited with making married life happier. Amazonite is a Barrier Filter crystal that blocks geopathic stress, absorbs microwaves and cell phone emanations, and protects against electromagnetic pollution. Place it near computers and other electronics, or tape to your cell phone. In the workplace, Amazonite dispels negative energy and aggravation, and protects against unfair business practices and others taking advantage. A stone of prosperity, Amazonite attracts new customers and orders to a business, and assists one in being in the right place at the right time for new opportunities. Amazonite is a good luck stone for games of chance, competitions and luck in any financial venture. To make a lucky-charm, combine three Amazonites and a small amount of basil and mint in a small pouch. Leave it in front of a turquoise candle until the candle burns down. Hide an Amazonite in a child’s or teen’s bedroom to encourage tidiness, and keep a dish of Amazonites on the kitchen table to persuade others to assist more with chores. Overarching theme: The Chariot: The Chariot invites us on a powerful journey, offering us new reigns to steer towards our future. This course can be filled with endless possibilities – uncharted paths, potential gains, and shiny opportunities along the way – but at the heart of this card, we are asked to discern the values by which we navigate the world. Are we driven by our notions of success, or are we exploring the depths of what really makes us happy and fulfilled? When you connect back to what your soul truly wants, the momentum of your success may open new doorways, allowing you to forge ahead with confidence and purpose. This clarity is a sweet gift that many of us forget to relish and nurture. When it shows up in the shimmering bursts of motivation, don’t forget to soak them in and follow their lead. Questions to ask yourself this week: What am I truly working towards? How can I mobilize my efforts to follow my bliss? Additional Meanings: Victory • Willpower • Movement • Confidence • Transition.

If you chose card #1: Your message this week is about the Five of Swords. Your card goes on to say that the Five of Swords reflect self-inflicted energies that keep us in a stagnant place of negativity or loss. Through conflict, disagreements, or impulsive behavior, there has been an involuntary burdening of yourself or others. This card highlights pointless winning, and needing to be “right” regardless of the outcome and comes at a high cost that may alienate others. It is important to step back and take a look at the bigger picture. Put everything into perspective and realize where your true priorities and values lie. Are your opinions and views more important than your relationships? How are you affecting other people? Is your ambition coming from a place of love or fear? How can your words and actions transform this difficult situation into a positive light? Questions to ask yourself right now: Are there any adjustments I need to make along my path? How are my actions affecting the world around me? Your mantra: What I share returns. I seek love and release fear. Additional Meanings: Defeat • Mistrust • Disillusionment • Ego • Loss.

If you chose card #2: Your message this week is about the Four of Pentacles. Your card goes on to say that the Four of Pentacles illuminates our notions of success and what abundance truly means to us. If we spend too much time focusing on personal affluence or the materialistic things in life, such as possessions, the accumulation of wealth or social status, we may lose touch with our higher self. You should continue to take pride in all that you have achieved, but not let the illusion of physical wealth get in the way of who you truly are. This card can point to a desire for stability, settling down, or a conservative lifestyle that prevents any risk taking behavior. It can also reflect hoarding or negative attachments that stunt personal growth or change. Is there an emotional void you’re trying to fill by holding on to things that mask a lack of security in your life? Questions to ask yourself right now: What do I truly value above all else? How can I nurture the invaluable facets of my life? Your mantra: My cup is filled with inner riches. I seek that which nourishes my soul. Additional Meanings: Materialism • Control • Obstacles • Possessiveness • Ego.

If you chose card #3: Your message this week is about the Ace of Wands. Your card goes on to say that this is a wonderful message to receive, the Ace of Wands highlights new beginnings that are rich with vitality and accelerated growth! This is a seed of invention that has the potential to bloom into something great and highlights breakthroughs in consciousness that elevate your spirit. From these fiery, pivotal moments, the world seems full of possibilities. Perhaps you’re on the verge of expanding your work or seeking new experiences that commune with your soul. Perhaps you’re craving a deeper change and already feel that things are in motion. If this is the initial stage of your adventure, know that you are heading into a life-changing period that is deeply rooted in your inner truth. As a result, you will find the creative outlets you need to mobilize this dream. The time for soulful action and self-expression. Questions to ask yourself right now: How can I invest my energies into this inspiration? How can I support the growth of this vital dream? Your mantra: I ignite the passion within me. I set the sparks of my dreams in motion. Additional Meanings: Vitality • Adventure • Inspiration • New beginnings.

This is your week!  make it an amazing one 😊
