The week ahead: July 13th through July 19th of 2020:

Just as the fuckery of Mercury has gone direct, Chiron the asteroid known as the “Wounded Healer,” has now gone retrograde in it’s place.

While our communication and thinking will be more easy thanks to Mercury going direct, the thoughts and feelings around some old wounds may be resurfacing again for another go around, or possibly for the first time. During Cancer season, it isn’t unheard of to long for things from the past; Cancer rules ancestry, home, roots and all things sentimental, but with Chiron in the mix, were going to deeper levels and things either being uncovered or being looked at again, have a real sting to them.

Here’s the thing with Chiron though– he’s called the wounded healer for a reason. It’s through facing your wounds, acknowledging them, working through them and finding the medicine you need to recoup, are you able to finally heal. What Chiron asks of us is to go through this process, then to turn around and help another that’s going through it, too. Through the journey of healing, you gain knowledge that others may never know. This pain, this wound, this unhealed aspect, actually becomes your step into your power, but only if you acknowledge it’s presence and embark upon the quest that beckons you.

For some, this retrograde period will be true hell, ducking and dodging the doorway that offers relief. For others, this time may feel confusing and disorienting as they don’t know how to face themselves and what’s coming up for release because they’ve lost touch with their core. And for some others, there will be a quiet recognition of Chiron coming back around again, but knowing and understanding this time, that we already hold the key to our happiness, health, and freedom.

Interestingly enough, Mars just moved into his home sign of Aries last week, pumping up our call to action. This is a fiery duo, upping the anty on our drive to get things done, but tempers might be at an all time high, as well. With everything going on up in the skies, it’s important to choose your battles wisely, to not speak or react when you’re upset, and be consciously aware of what motivates and drives you so that your old wounds coming up don’t speak for who you are now.

On a wider scale, it’s important to see how this is playing out for those of us in the US. Chiron is bringing awareness to ALL of the ugly shit happening here, but more exactly, where we have abused the shit out of the people who are supposed to be our brothers and sisters in life. More and more stories of abuse and murders of Black people are coming to light, as well as those in the Indigenous, Latinx, LGBTQ+, and poor communities. The hideousness around Jeffrey Epstein and Giselle Maxwell and the child sex abuse rings connected to them that obviously involve major players in our country, the children still locked in cages, separated from their families while a lot of these little kids are going missing or are sexually abused, all while we’re living through a pandemic with no leadership, and no support of our medical community to handle this insanity, whatsoever. This isn’t even the full list of fuckery and it’s overwhelming around where to start and who to help. It just makes you feel angry and helpless that our Country, and us as individuals, have let these past and present atrocities continue. I think a lot of people are feeling burnout from everything, but these energies at play aren’t messing around; Cancer season asks us to take care of and nurture not only ourselves but our fellow human, Chiron insists the only way through is to face what happened, what we’ve done or allowed and begin to heal, while Mars in Aries says the fight for justice and doing the right thing, must continue. May we do this work on the individual level so we can continue to come together and fight for what’s right for our fellow humans being abused 💖

So how do we work with the energy of this week? My advice is this: pick any cause this week and fight like hell for it. Use this Mars in Aries fire to make sure you’re heard in whatever helpful way you can, just make sure to balance this with healing self care so you can rejoin the fight, re-energized. Aries loves a good fight for the underdog, so if fighting for kids to stay out of school until we have a good solution so that millions of our babies don’t have to die; fight like hell for them. Or if fighting for our indigenous communities to have just basic things like running water and health facilities speaks to your soul; fight like hell for them. If knowing Breonna Taylor’s murders STILL haven’t been arrested boils your blood; fight like hell for her. Or maybe you’re hanging on by a thread yourself and you haven’t found the justice you deserve in your own life; it’s time to fight like hell.

Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–choose what you’re drawn to). The top card is the overarching theme for everyone and it’s something to keep in mind or to remember, no matter what energy shows up for you as the week goes on. The stone you see in the picture above is Pyrite (again!). Pyrite is a protective, shielding stone and is excellent to wear or carry as an amulet to deflect harm and danger. It is especially helpful when one is away from home or performing hazardous work. Pyrite guards against ongoing control, criticism and manipulation by a partner, parent or employer, lending the power to resist without becoming angry or upset, changing the balance of power. A piece of Pyrite in the home or workplace energizes the area around it and imparts an immediate increase in vitality. It overcomes intellectual fatigue due to overwork and tiredness of the nervous system by stimulating blood flow to the brain, increasing mental clarity, focus and recall. Pyrite inspires creativity in art, mathematics, science, architecture and many disciplines, especially those that recognize the inherent perfection and harmonious symmetry of nature and the universe. It stirs the qualities of ambition, commitment and perseverance, and is an ideal stone for students. In the workplace, Pyrite encourages leadership qualities and is an ally for managers and those working toward promotion. Pyrite enhances the protective and assertive male energies in both men and women. It boosts women’s self-worth and helps overcome tendencies toward servitude and inferiority. For men, it instills a feeling of confidence in one’s masculinity and supports the enthusiastic expression of male eroticism. If you’d like to learn more about this stone, please go here.

Overarching theme: Three of Cups: A sublime omen to receive, the Three of Cups draws upon the brilliant moments that shine on in our memories, and the foundation of soul connections that endure for lifetimes. This is a very dynamic energy, and can also foretell an emergence of spiritual and psychic growth, as you learn to activate your deepest senses and gifts. Let your heart guide you along this path – it knows exactly where it wants to take you. In surrounding yourself with loved ones – whether they are relatives or lifelong partners and friends – expect adventure and endless nights of play! If you have been overexerting yourself in some way, now may be a good time to relax and take a break. Give yourself permission to explore the beauty of this chapter, take a load off and put your feet up after you’ve had time to dance and celebrate! What future adventures lie just beyond the horizon? Questions to ask yourself right now: How can I take some time to relax with my soul family? Am I ready to step back and celebrate? Your mantra this week: I replenish my cup with the water of my soul. I allow this interlude to forge new journeys and ideas. Additional Meanings: Abundance • Healing • Community • Birthing • Fun!

If you chose card #1: Your message this week is about the Ten of Cups. Your card goes on to say that the Ten of Cups is an enchanting message to receive. It signifies great happiness in all areas of relationships – family, friendship and romance – and asks you to make the most of what life has to offer. This is a blissful period of dazzling moments that ignite passion and play. When its underlying energy shows up, things don’t get much better than this. Now is the time to relax and let loose, and soak up new experiences! The deeper root of this message also encourages you to let go and shed the materialistic distractions, which allows you to forge a path of spiritual integrity. From here, you can dive deep, and dream of the foundation you really want to build in this life. As you align with this powerful heart energy, the silver linings are always visible – the glass is more than half-full (it overflows!). A potent time of happiness and abundance is on the horizon! Questions to ask yourself right now: How can I focus on the positive light in this moment? How can I bask in the love that surrounds me? Your mantra: I relax into love and bliss. I treasure the moments that fill my cup. Additional Meanings: Friendship • Growth • Harmony • Fulfillment • Peace.

If you chose card #2: Your message this week is about the Five of Pentacles. Your card goes on to say that the Five of Pentacles speaks of clouded states of disharmony or loss that appear through misfortune. This may also indicate an actual state of illness, a lack of finances, or feeling of rejection that leaves us deflated or scorned. Very often, these painful phases corrode a lasting impression on our spirit, slowly depleting our sense of security or peace. Over time, if we continue to dwell in this void, we may end up accumulating feelings of helplessness and victimhood, and may become co-dependent on others. Know that despite the hardships you may be experiencing, there is still hope and support available. You have the power to come out of the situation in a new and positive light. Help may be closer than you think — is there a friend, loved one, or person you trust, whom you can reach out to at this time? Questions to ask yourself right now: How can I shift this challenge by reaching out for help? Are there any burdens or pains that need my attention? Your mantra: I rise above the ashes that divide me. I am ready to shake this shadow free. Additional Meanings: Lack • Hardship • Over speculation • Manifestation.

If you chose card #3: Your message this week is about The Fool. Your card goes on to say that The Fool is a sacred key that helps expand your horizons, in seeking out new adventures or spontaneous experiences. Your unique rite of passage has no charted course. No trajectory. Instead, it defines a whole new prologue waiting to be written. Oftentimes, this kind of movement also requires a bit of bravery, encouraging you to have faith in your deepest instincts. If there are voices that discourage you from embarking on this path, connect back to your inner stillness, your heart, and the calling of your soul. This is not their story, it’s solely belongs to you. Allow for new opportunities to take flight within this journey! Questions to ask yourself right now: Am I ready to take this quantum leap? What new opportunities are presenting in my life? Additional Meanings: Adventure • Impulse • Movement • Inner child • Genesis.

This is your week! Make it an amazing one 😊
