The week ahead: May 11th through May 17th of 2020:

Taurus season is in full bloom and dealing with the world through our senses is at an all time high; our bliss, our fear, our joy, our heartache feels so palpable, because it is. Taurus is a sensual sign, so that means touching, smelling, tasting and seeing let’s them know their experience is real. Pretty well known for their love of food, they generally love to cook, grow food in their garden, and eat whatever brings comfort. You’ve probably noticed an uptick in your comfort food eating too, so just do your very best to throw in some fruits and veggies to round it all out. Just know, this sign is no skinny Minnie and sports curves like the goddess she’s ruled by (Venus), so if you’re feeling the quarantine 15, just remind yourself that renaissance era painters would be beating down your door for a chance to capture your essence in paint–Think Venus of Botticelli… or Willendorf.

We also have Saturn going retrograde today the 11th in the sign of Aquarius until October 3rd, so keep in mind when any planet goes retrograde, it’s asking us to go within and find our answers there. Saturn is structure. He upholds and revers tradition, patience and perseverance. Saturn doesn’t fuck around, and if he sees you slacking off, you get 4 more years of work to make sure you’re back on track. He’s known as the Taskmaster and Time lord, lording over rules and restrictions. In the sign of Aquarius though, there may be a tendency to question said rules and restrictions, and possibly rework them so they not only fit a wider audience, but possibly serve the community better, as well. Saturn isn’t one to give a shit about your excuses so don’t bring those to the table, but what you can bring is your commitment to your purpose, your ability to map out your goals and execute your plan for the future, and a tenacity to win that would make a starving raccoon look lazy. Saturn wants you to upgrade and sit on the thrown of your choosing, knowing full well you earned this position with every fiber of your being.

Only time can give us that option though, and during Taurus season, slow but steady wins the race is the philosophy, always. There really couldn’t be a better season to have this massive planet that requires patience, ask us to go within, so don’t shy away from the work when it shows up. If you commit, Saturn will reward you with your weight in knowledge, prestige and power, and considering how much all of us are eating right now, that weight looks to be hefty 😉

So how can we work with the energy of this week? My advice is this: Look to see where in your chart that Saturn resides to get a better look at the themes you’ll be reflecting on for the next 5 months. The house should tell you all you need to keep an eye out for, and remember that Saturn respects time and effort. You don’t have to get it right all the time or even right away, but whatever you do, don’t give up. For me, Saturn resides in my 3rd house, so they’ll be a focus on how I communicate, the information I share and learn, and my siblings, just to name a few things the 3rd house stands for. With the influence of Aquarius, I’ll want to be focused on the good of everyone here, not just myself. Freedom might be another key too as well as thinking outside of the box. Aquarius also rules new technology, so I’ll need to pay attention to these themes and look at how I can re-work, re-do, re-write, re-search, while letting new technology help me.

Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–choose what you’re drawn to). The top card is the overarching theme for everyone and it’s something to keep in mind or to remember, no matter what energy shows up for you as the week goes on. The stone you see in the picture above is Hematite. Hematite helps to absorb negative energy and calms in times of stress or worry. Hematite is a very protective stone and is great to carry to help you stay grounded in many situations. Hematite is also good for working with the Root Chakra, helping to transform negative energies into a more positive vibration. Those in relationships can benefit from the cooperation vibe coming from Hematite. Hematite can help one to find their own, unique gifts and to release self-imposed limitations, while still maintaining a healthy amount of self-control. Hematite aids in the Ascension process, by facilitating the integration of higher spiritual energies into our physical 3-D existence. This allows those who are doing spiritual work to still be able to function in the physical world and relate to others. Carry Hematite when in need of balance and equilibrium, or when having difficulty focusing energies. Hematite is also said to be useful in legal situations, and is thought to strengthen self-confidence. Physically, Hematite is also used to protect against geopathic stress and electromagnetic smog, and is said to be a great detoxifying stone, helpful for the liver and the blood. Overarching theme: Five of Wands: The Five of Wands deals with struggles and conflict, either because you feel you must stick up for yourself, or because the ideas of someone else clash with your own. This could also signify challenges within yourself that you are having to work through. At some point, they will make themselves known, whether through your behavior or involuntary expressions, or the stress levels you experience. How can you focus on rerouting your thoughts, or process what needs to be shed and released? It could be that you will find yourself competing with someone who is as equally ambitious as you are. If you feel as though you were overburdened by the energy of others, take a step back and rest within your own stillness. Now more than ever, it is important to honor your heart and make your priorities clear. This card is not about teamwork. It is about your own personal goals and strengths. Questions to ask yourself this week: How can I open or hold space for healing? How can I focus my own energy to help the situation? Your mantra this week: I release what needs to be shed. I commune with unconditional love. Additional Meanings: Conflict • Competition • Tension • Delays • Independence.

If you chose card #1: Your message this week is about The Hierophant. Your card goes on to say that The Hierophant is a catalyst for profound learning. This energy often appears when you’re ready to expand your awareness or gain fresh insights. It may also introduce you to someone who has the potential to radically transform your worldview or beliefs, or a time when you are driven to explore or question your spiritual values or philosophies. This key encourages the pursuit of education or formal training, also within the dynamic of a group setting. What tools or resources can you connect with at this time? Whether it be a guide, teacher, mentor, class, program or community, now is a lovely period to seek out new avenues of exploration, or structures that build stability and clarity. This discovery will elevate your spirit and shift the course of your path into new, uncharted wisdom. Questions to ask yourself right now: How can I tune into my own spiritual path? What do I have yet to explore in this life? Additional Meanings: Teacher • Conduit • Lesson • Knowledge • Tradition.
If you chose card #2: Your message this week is about the Five of Swords. Your card goes on to say that the Five of Swords reflect self-inflicted energies they keep us in a stagnant place of negativity or loss. Through conflict, disagreements, or impulsive behavior, there’s been an involuntary burdening of yourself or others. This card highlights pointless winning, and needing to be “right” regardless of the outcome and comes at a high cost that may alienate others. It is important to step back and take a look at the bigger picture. Put everything into perspective and realize where your true priorities and values lie. Are your opinions and views more important than your relationships? How are you affecting other people? Is your ambition coming from a place of love or fear? How can your words and actions transform this difficult situation into a positive light? Questions to ask yourself right now: Are there any adjustments I need to make along my path? How are my actions affecting the world around me? Your mantra: What I share returns. I seek love and release fear. Additional Meanings: Defeat • Mistrust • Disillusionment • Ego • Loss.
If you chose card #3: Your message this week is about the King of Cups. Your card goes on to say that the most imaginative, sensitive and psychic of all the kings, this individual is ruled by the sacred wisdom of the heart. As natural leaders, they exude a sense of diplomacy and awareness that seems to illustrate control over their emotions, but underneath the surface they are highly sensitive and intuitive. The King of Cups encourages us to celebrate the blissful gifts that life has to offer, while not taking the beauty around us for granted. They may have a tendency to become lost within the dimensions of their own inner worlds, and can lose touch with the feelings of others if they are not mindful. This king needs a healthy amount of creative outlets, to remain happy and healthy, which also rings true to the underlying message of this key: it is important for us to express and source from the gateway of our heart. Doing so helps us ignite purpose and meaning in our life. Questions to ask yourself right now: How can I maintain a healthy balance with my heart? How can I reach out and support my relationships? Your mantra: I align with the Divine principle of love. I trust in my intuitive strength and foresight. Additional Meanings: Nurturing • Diplomatic • Strong • Generous • Emotional.
This is your week! Make it an amazing one 😊
