The week ahead: January 20th through January 26th 2020:

Welcome to weird and wonderful Aquarius season! After having so many planets in Capricorn as well as the previous season, all that grounding, goal-setting earth element has left us feeling heavy, exhausted and ready for something different. Where Capricorn is perfect at getting in there, getting your hands dirty and building something of substance, Aquarius is better suited to stepping back, looking at the whole picture, making sure all the parts are moving well together and that it works for everyone involved.

And this new moon in Aquarius on the 24th looks to be upping that energy big time. Not known for being particularly emotional (none of the air signs are), this new moon won’t be bringing the normal ups and downs, instead, it will allow you to see things from a different perspective. If you’ve been having a difficult time about what steps to take next, if you’re worried you might not be making good choices around your foundation setting, or if it’s hard to know if the people around you are helping or hindering you (Aquarius rules the 11th house, standing for community and friends), you’ll be able to better discern what’s working and what’s not. I think the biggest question around this new moon will be about where and with whom we belong.

New moons are a time where we plant seeds for future projects and manifestations; it’s a time to go within and make sure we’ve cut cords of attachment to or released what no longer works. In order to have the space needed to create and birth, we have to let go of what isn’t working. With Aquarius, it’ll be easier than normal to cut those cords of attachment–thinking with your head and your heart is going to get you further along, so look for ways you can take a step back, look at all the options on the table, and find solutions that can possibly benefit all involved  💖

So how can we work with the energy of this week? My advice is this: Work with the element of air after the new moon. Consider on Saturday or Sunday, as the energy starts building again, to write down your intentions, goals, or what you’re trying to let go of and put it somewhere you can see it everyday. You can also choose to speak your intentions or sing them, or do a meditation and call on loved ones in Spirit, guides or angels to help you with your pursuits. You can even get books on subjects you’d like to learn more about, watch documentaries, or go be a part of a group that has similar interests as what you’re trying to achieve.

Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–choose what you’re drawn to). The top card is the overarching theme for everyone and it’s something to keep in mind or to remember, no matter what energy shows up for you as the week goes on. The stone you see in the picture above is a herkimer diamond. The Herkimer Diamond is an “attunement stone,” useful for attuning to another person, group or environment. It is particularly beneficial to use before the “laying-on-of-stones,” or other healing situations when the practitioner and subject are not well acquainted, and is an exceptional crystal for linking people together who have to be apart. For attunement, the Herkimers should be held simultaneously as one at first, then upon parting, each person should retain one of the stones; or, a cluster may remain at one location while an individual carries a portion of that cluster on his person to connect with the energy of a group or environment. Herkimer crystal is also a valuable asset in its ability to receive and magnify the influence of other stones. It expands a small or soft energy stone, giving it the strength and effects of a much larger stone. Herkimer Diamonds have a crystal memory, accepting and retaining information which can be retrieved at a later time. They may also be programmed with thoughts of love, well-being, or healing for others to draw on. The Herkimer Diamond is extremely useful in healing environments where its clarity, brilliance and high frequency facilitates the removal of energy blocks or debris, and stimulates healing by increasing the amount of Light energy the body can utilize.  It is an exceptionally strong crystal for clearing electromagnetic pollution, radioactivity, and geopathic stress, and makes an excellent environmental spray or gem elixir. Larger Herkimers, even cloudy, included ones, may be used to grid a home, healing space or bed. Herkimer is a good crystal for teachers of spirituality and alternative therapies. As a power stone in the workplace, it brings positive attention and prosperity through high achievement, and assists with research and study as it stores knowledge. It is also beneficial in stabilizing company finances. If you’d like to learn more about this stone, please go here.

Overarching theme: Eight of Pentacles: The Eight of Pentacles highlights the well-earned rewards that ensue from self-determination and heartfelt perseverance. The power of this key tends to show up when we’re on the brink of expanding our horizons and trying something new, or when were called to put all of our efforts into one concrete plan, devoting our focus entirely until we reach the peak of our fulfillment. This could take time, dedication, and continuous refinement along the way, and may also indicate a new discovery, task, or creative venture that could end up having an enduring presence in your life. If you’re still seeking a way to invest your efforts, think about how you can align with a long-term plan that nourishes your spirit. A time of brilliant awakening. Questions to ask yourself this week: How can I rally my efforts and dreams into one path? How can I stay strong and devoted to this task? Your mantra this week: I am strong and inventive at every turn. I seek out the adventure of my soul. Additional Meanings: Perseverance • Ingenuity • Industry • Spiritual growth.

If you chose card #1: Your message this week is about the Ten of Wands. Your card goes on to say that the Ten of Wands reflects our sense of being overburdened by responsibilities, when we find ourselves overworked or somehow out of balance. The appearance of this card may indicate an emotional attachment or experience that you’re still harboring, which is depleting your energy and distracting you from fully receiving the positive blessings in your life. Your initial aspirations or dreams may also seem faded from your present situation if you are losing your creative momentum or drive. Now might be a good time to accept help from others and prioritize what is truly necessary. How are you gaining wisdom from your actions? What can you remove or cut out, in order to reduce some of the pressure on yourself? Questions to ask yourself right now: What can I release or let go of at this time? How can I shift these heavy energies or attachments? Your mantra: I release what no longer serves my highest good. As I move on, so I let go. Additional Meanings: Burdens • Balance • Overwhelmed • Release • Goals.

If you chose card #2: Your message this week is about the Page of Wands. Your card goes on to say that the Page of Wands encourages us to reconnect with the youthful spark of our enthusiasm, and the light that resides beneath the layers of our conditioned adulthood. This is a unique inspiration that drives our spirit, and an outgoing, rebellious energy that tends to fade as we become older and more reserved. We must not forget to nurture and treasure this innocent freedom and lust for life. The Page of Wands has not yet been influenced by the stress and chaos of the outside world, which allows them to fully savour and appreciate each day. But because of this, certain lessons and experiences may repeat overtime and take longer to sink in. The Page of Wands helps us express our inner creative urges and audacious vitality, which helps keep us healthy, happy, and ready for adventure. Questions to ask yourself right now: How can I reconnect with freedom and wanderlust? What new projects or creative urges should I explore? Your mantra: I see the world as my playground. I am open and ready to receive. Additional Meanings: Confidence • Courage • Rebelliousness • Discovery.

If you chose card #3: Your message this week is about the Ten of Pentacles. Your card goes on to say that as a card of completion and cycles of growth, this Ten of Pentacles calls us to commune with the sparks of our soul which echo throughout life times in harmony and bliss. This power conjures strength and security, and is filled with spiritual fulfillment that connects us with soul family and friends. This is a card of positive reflection and appreciation. At the apex of this light and stability, it is clear that you have built a strong foundation and wish to rest and reap the benefits of everything you have worked towards. It is an indication of many blessings within your home, family, and future endeavors. Take this time to experience the freedom you have created for yourself. Enjoy life’s simple pleasures, but don’t forget to be generous with the knowledge or wealth you have gained. Questions to ask yourself right now: How can I celebrate with my soul family and friends? How can I express gratitude for these chapters? Your mantra: I honor and celebrate the gifts. I live, love, and play. Additional Meanings: Family • Prosperity • Security • Happiness • Wealth.
This is your week! Make it an amazing one 😊
