The week ahead: October 21st through October 27th of 2019:

As we’re leaving Libra season this week and walking (some of us crawling) boldly into the intensity of Scorpio season, I hope we enter into this time as powerfully as this new moon on the 27th is calling us to. We had a chance to face our relationships during Libra’s reign, finding the balance, finding our peace, and finding the truth of what our situation really is. Truth be told, there was a lot of fear too, but one of the beautiful things Libra does is give us the advantage of seeing from another perspective–it’s not just about “me” but about “us” and in a space more readily open to connection than fear.

If we can take away anything from Libra season, may it be the perspective for connection, because Scorpio is about to make us face what we fear most. The sign of death, birth and rebirth in an infinite cycle, this is the only way Scorpio knows how to be, and we can either get with the program or stay stuck, allowing what scares the shit out of us to keep us small. It’s not just about facing your fears though, it’s also about working through them and realizing or even calling back your power to you, so as you rebuild your strength from fighting your monsters, your glow up is one for the ages. This is truly about your liberation.

And with the new moon in Scorpio on the 27th, this exact itinerary will be on the table, asking you were you need to rise from the ashes or what new seeds can you plant in order to begin anew. I’ve found when working with Scorpio energy, it’s important to not be an impulsive a-hole; you gotta slow down, think things through, be strategic and do some research, and then act. A good way to begin that process is actually our overarching theme this week: Shadow Work. How perfect!

So at the new moon and in order to work with the energy of this week, I offer some questions from the Shadow Work card to help us along our way: Are there facets of your shadow that are waiting for your integration, support, or understanding? Have you found a place of inner balance, healing, or harmony with the shadow side of your life? Are you comfortable with taking a look at some of the roots of your anger, jealousy, fear, and envy? This week, get down with facing the things you’ve been so busy avoiding. The only way to heal is through the process of it.

Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–choose what you’re drawn to). The top card is the overarching theme for everyone and it’s something to keep in mind or to remember, no matter what energy shows up for you as the week goes on. The stone you see in the picture above is grey moonstone. Since earliest times, Moonstone has been a tangible connection to the magic of the moon – an amulet of protection for travelers, a gift of lovers for passion, a channel for prophecy, and a path to wisdom. Our ties to the moon are strong. As it waxes and wanes in cyclic perfection, it creates the tides and rhythms of our mother, Earth, and influences our behaviors, emotions and spiritual growth. Moonstone calms and encourages, teaching us the natural rhythms of life. Gray Moonstone is a stone of perceiving beyond the veil – useful to the clairvoyant and shaman, and in moving one into unseen realms. It is called the “New Moon Stone” and carries the mysteries and powers of the new moon, where all things exist as potential. If you’d like to learn more about this stone, please go here.

Overarching theme: Shadow Work: Within each of us is a Shadow Self. A multi-faceted inner vessel of the pains, traumas, fears, and suppressions we have experienced throughout our life. Very often, we think of the Shadow as something negative or malevolent, as this world has been known to conjure up themes of darkness or fear. But if we look a bit closer, we may find that our shadows are the ultimate liberators–acting as the most profound catalyst for aligning with our truth. Like the dark matter of our universe, dreams and seeds of light may be cultivated in this space, offering new portals for healing and transformation. Our shadows can help anchor our own brilliance and self-worth, and teaching us to rise and transmute from the ashes that divide us, from within. This may happen when we release our hidden burdens, or remove the masks of the personas we continuously hide behind, allowing us to dive deeper within the waters of our heart. The hidden aspects of our shadow also show us where our thoughts or habits have become entrenched or addictive overtime, which is helpful when looking at how and where we may need to make some profound changes in our life. Shadow work gives us an opportunity to explore the contrast with in our lives that have taught us the most profound lessons along the way. The shadow also shows us where we are harboring suppressed dreams or inner creative urges that we have never had a chance to explore due to the internal or external struggles in our life that held us back. This can lead to fractures or entanglements within our energetic health, which can also be very depleting to our vitality and spirit. If you feel like this may be true for you, it may be time to think about what you feel is missing, and how you can support these dreams or incomplete pieces. Take some time to reflect on this with gentle care, but listen to what wants to come out or be expressed. Some questions to ask yourself right now: What deeper habits are ready for my awareness? Where is my shadow presenting itself the most? Additional Meanings: Illumination • Balance • Synergy • Healing • Acceptance.

This person will always go above and beyond when it comes to fulfilling your loved one’s needs. They can, however, become a bit obsessive or overly sensitive, in placing too much thought or worry into the words or emotions of other people.
