The video will return next week!

I feel SO much better after this new moon! I feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders energetically, as I’ve been working through some intense emotional shiz. Really, who hasn’t? It feels like everyone has been going through the ringer as old crap from the past re-surfaced. Because mercury went direct on Sunday right before the new moon, you’ve probably been feeling better since yesterday, but as the week rolls on, you’ll start to feel everything loosen up. Just remember with mercury going direct and retrograde, we have a shadow phase where the kinks are getting worked out, so continue to take your time with communications of all kinds. By the beginning of May, everything should feel back to normal, and my guess is, for better this time because of whatever you were able to work through or release.

New moons are a time to plant seeds for the future and put an end to old, outworn ways of handling things. Since this new moon was in the warrior sign of Aries, you may have become just that; fighting for a life or a way of doing things with your own personal style.  This was about coming up as an individual, knowing what that means personally and professionally for you, and doing something about it. A fire was lit in our hearts, lovelies–what are your flames asking for? Aries takes no prisoners, so boundaries may have been set that clearly establish who’s the boss, and that probably meant some peeps had to go. At the very least, you may have let go of some guilt that was keeping you from stepping into the leadership role of your life. However the dust is settling for you, whatever you do, TRUST THE PROCESS. I know it may feel like some stuff is falling a part, but this is one of those moments where it’s actually falling into place. Thank that closed door, and walk through the one you’re being ushered to. The amazeballs astrologer Leah Whitehorse of www.leahwhitehorse.com says,

“The New Moon in Aries seeds the intentions of the new astrological year. Right now, Chiron is teetering on the final degree of Pisces, preparing to make his debut into Aries. Behind everything, is an urgent collective intention to end suffering combined with tidal emotions that range from great compassion to desolate despair. For the last 8 years, we have had to make peace with our pain and find meaning in our suffering. When Chiron moves into Aries, our style of both healing and suffering will change. In astrology, Chiron is symbolized by a glyph that is shaped like a key. After all this time imprisoned in the global house of the lost and forgotten, now the key is in the door.

With the Moon and Sun joining forces in fiery Aries, this is a lunation which prefers action over thought. With Mercury having just stationed direct in Aries as well, the energy of this chart is akin to a tiger being released from its cage. The Moon in Aries indicates emotions are animated. We are in fight or flight mode. What we feel is raw, passionate and loud. Under Aries influence, the Sun’s presence means we shine a little brighter as confidence peaks. We’re willing to initiate – whether it’s a project, a new goal or a conflict, to get what we desire. Aries is about what we want and right now, with this New Moon conjunct Uranus, we want something different to what we had before.

Uranus is an unstable, unpredictable energy yet it can also represent awakening too. We may feel jazzed up, electric, sparkling with great ideas that we want to set into motion. This is a lunation where we could receive cosmic downloads as Uranus is the higher frequency of intellectual Mercury. Universal information is available which can help us dare to display our unique talents. Flashes of inspiration could fortify us with the courage to take independent action.”

So how can we use the energy of this week to help us? My advice is this: What seeds need planting this week that establish you as the sole leading authority of your own life? How are your preferences changing, especially in relation to behavior you will and will not accept from yourself? Is there anyone/anything/any idea you’re still clinging to that you know needs to go? If so, can you see how holding onto this continues to keep you in a situation where you feel trapped or unable to be fully yourself? This week, be free. This is the last week of Aries season too, so get all the ass kicking in that you can <3

Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–pick what you’re drawn to). The stone you see in the picture is smoky quartz. Hold Smoky Quartz to relieve tension and stress, anxiety, or panic attacks; also to ward off negative thinking, and to eliminate worry and doubt when faced with chaos or confusion. To absorb misfortune, sorrow or seemingly impossible obstacles, hold faceted or natural points of Smoky Quartz in each hand pointed down toward the ground, then consciously release these negative energies to Mother Earth for cleansing and repurposing. Smoky Quartz links with the Earth stimulating concern for the environment and inspiring ecological solutions. Use its protective energies to block geopathic stress and absorb electromagnetic smog given off by power lines and electronics. It is invaluable in layouts for environmental healing, and assists elimination and detoxification on all levels, ushering in positive energy in its place. An extraordinary amulet of protection, Smoky Quartz helps guard the home, vehicles and possessions against theft, damage and accidents caused by human error. Keep one in a purse, a bag in the glove box or near valuables, especially if left unattended for long periods of time. As a driving crystal, Smoky Quartz protects against road rage and other harm while driving on motorways, on long journeys or in heavy traffic by reducing stress and increasing concentration. It also shields against unexpected mechanical breakdowns. Place Smoky Quartz in the home or work environment to filter out bad moods, unspoken resentments, or disparaging remarks that drain one’s strength and enthusiasm. To shield against hostility or gossip in the workplace, or a bullying boss or manager, set dark Smoky Quartz points outwards on your desk in a semi-circle to create a calm, safe area in which to work. Wear or carry Smoky Quartz to enhance survival instincts, and for assistance in reaching personal and business goals, as well as manifesting dreams and ideas into reality. This crystal promotes rational, pragmatic thought processes and improves calculation and organization. It increases focus and may be used in group situations to alleviate communication difficulties and foster a spirit of cooperation. Smoky Quartz is a remarkable aid for quitting smoking, gradually reducing the urge to smoke, as well as softening the anger and agitation associated with nicotine withdrawal and the detoxification process. If you’d like to learn more about this stone, please go here.
