The week ahead: April 10th through April 16th:

We have a full moon in Libra on the 10th/11th and themes of balance will be popping up everywhere you look. Libra is an air sign and air signs are all about our mental space and going with the flow. With it still being Aries season (fire sign =passions and turning your thoughts into actions and tangible reality) we have some conflicting energy at play. Libra is a sign that understands itself better when relating to other people, where Aries is all about knowing the inner self and going on an inner adventure to find out who they are. You may be fighting with feelings of trying to make yourself whole again if you’ve felt disjointed ( many planets retrograding right now—no wonder!), so know that this inner battle you’ve been going through is not in vain and is helping you to refine who you truly are, against your need to unify with others—you may have to make a choice about what’s most important to you if your current relationships aren’t allowing you to be yourself, or if you are having a hard time letting your true self shine. If the latter is occurring for you, you may be asked to take a leap of faith and trust that the people you care about most, will love you unconditionally.

So how can we use the energy of this week to help us? My advice is this: Who are you inside and is this understanding changing for you? Are you reflecting who you are on the inside to the outside world in a truthful fashion? What steps are you taking to get grounded and balanced, especially in relation to your inner thoughts (think about going on an inner journey, Aries style, if you need help)? I was thrown for a loop this week when I heard that one of my favorite authors (and hero’s, really) Doreen Virtue has become a born again Christian. Let me be clear that I don’t have a problem with that aspect of all of this (who the hell am I to judge, this is her journey), but I do have qualms with some serious conflicting messages she gave in her video explaining it all. I felt disillusioned while I was watching her, asking us to donate previous books she wrote since they no longer fit what she follows; it hurt my heart really. Here’s someone I followed and listened to her words, bought her oracle cards and books and looked up to, and I felt betrayed/duped by her in a way that she would turn around and tell us her previous inspirations and visions were just wrong because they don’t fit in her paradigm now. I wondered why I was having such a reaction to someone who’s just trying to do the right thing in her life (I found the video a little disjointed and weird, but I did feel like she truly felt she was doing the right thing, and that’s all we can really do, honestly). I realized I had put her on a pedestal; this was the only other person I had found that communed with the fairies and there was a safety in knowing I wasn’t alone in this. She helped me to embrace my weirdness and here she is now renouncing work that helped me to love myself. I started thinking about all of my heroes and how they are either literally dying off or are figuratively dying off, and I feel like I have no one to look up to. And that’s when I got the gut punch– why do I need heroes to look up to? Do I not believe in my gifts and abilities now? Do I not trust Spirit to guide me and my intuition to help me with everything in between? Why do I need this woman to tell me that I’m ok, when I KNOW that I am. Maybe all I need is myself and it’s time to give that hero status back to who it belongs to; me. This week, be the hero of your own story and find balance between who you are and who you share with the world. You are the person you’ve been waiting for <3

Think about drawing down the moon this week. The full moon is a time when relationships of all kinds are highlighted, including the one with yourself. It’s also a time when projects started at the last new moon can be harvested or completed. Take stock right now of any imbalances in your partnerships and wrap up projects that need to move on to the next level. You can also set out a bowl of water at this full moon to soak up all the energy. You can use it later to scry in or use the water to nourish yourself with. If you like to do incantations, prayer or mediation at the full moon, this will add some pep to your step. I like this Pagan/Wiccan incantation I found that says, “Mother Goddess, lend me your light. Give me your power on this faithful night. I invoke you into my being and soul. Fill up my vessel, make me feel whole. I stand before you in awe and in love. I cherish your gifts you send from above. I ask you tonight to show unto me. My mother, my Goddess, So Mote It Be.” Feel free to change this in any way you like or to make it your own, any way you see fit. Make sure to face the full moon and out stretch your arms so you can take everything in. Enjoy this powerful energy!

Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–pick what you’re drawn to). The stone you see under the cards in the picture is epidote in prehnite. The properties of Prehnite are increased by the presence of Epidote, and other properties of Epidote are present in these crystals as well. Prehnite fosters a strong sense of trust in Universal Principles. As such, Prehnite stops hoarding of both possessions and love by fostering a belief in the abundance and power of the Universe to manifest whatever is needed. Prehnite clears toxins from the body and balances the meridians, and helps you say no to unreasonable requests. Lucid dreaming is induced by Prehnite, while dreams are made easier to remember and nightmares are reduced. Prehnite is said to “heal the Healer,” (again, Epidote enhances this), and this stone can be used to revitalize your personal healing environment. Put Prehnite with Epidote in your garden to create a healing sanctuary for yourself. Use Prehnite with Epidote when working with energy grids to enhance protective fields, calm, and bring inner peace. Epidote is a stone that increases whatever it touches. Prehnite boosts prophetic abilities, enhances visualization, spiritual “knowing,” and aids in connecting with higher realms including your higher self as well as spiritual and extraterrestrial beings. The addition of Epidote to the Prehnite further increases perception and interaction with spiritual beings. This makes Prehnite with Epidote an excellent stone to use when working with tarot or crystal balls. On a more physical level, Epidote’s ability to increase energy is useful in strengthening the physical body. Epidote stimulates the immune system, aids in healing, and is a great stone to use for physical recovery. Epidote increases personal power, clears the emotional body aura, and even increases memory making it helpful when looking for a lost object. If you chose card #1: Your message this week is about the Magician. Your card goes on to say that the magician represents the harnessing of your most innate energies and powers, each associated with a key aspect of yourself–psychical (Earth), mental (Air), spiritual (fire), and emotional (Water). It is the balancing of these forces that lead to higher forms of knowledge and spiritual awareness as you journey forward. The magician embodies your pure creativity, with the conscious manifestation of what you wish to achieve and build in life. This card represents a time of inspiration and action, so it is important to be confident in your abilities. You already have the vision and skills you need! How will you share your gifts and talents with the world? Questions to ask yourself right now: How can I identify where my true skills lie? How can I maintain an overall balance in my life? Additional Meanings: Originality • Inspiration • Skill • Direction • Magic • Power • Action • Manifestation.

If you chose card #2: Your message this week is about the Page of Cups. Your card goes on to say that if this is about a situation: Trust your inner voice and feelings–you are on the right path. It is the beginning phase of a new adventure, project, or idea. Take this time to work through your creative processes; it will guide you more than you know. Your psychic abilities are on high. Trust them. If this is about a person: The Page of Cups is a kind, romantic individual who is highly intuitive and sensitive. They encourage new experiences, and youthful freedom that comes with celebrating their inner child. They believe in following their dreams and are very expressive and open in speaking their truth. The Page of Cups connect with the divine principle of love, and manifests this energy into all areas of their life. Additional Meanings: Imaginative • Youthful • Free • Emotional • Sentimental.

If you chose card #3: Your message this week is about Strength. Your card goes on to say that your strength and courage will only increase as you believe in your innate ability to learn, heal, and evolve. This is a powerful card that regards the alignment of your Higher Self–one who is full of grace, love, and compassion. You are strong enough to move through any obstacles that life may throw at you, which also highlights your state of consciousness. Understanding how Strength mostly comes from within is directly related to how you harness your own energy–this leads to spiritual ascension as you’re able to identify the vibrational quality of your thoughts. Remember, it is also important to treat others with compassion, love, and kindness. Strength also comes from being mindful of how we interact and communicate with the people around us. Questions to ask yourself right now: How am I acknowledging my inner strength and facing my fears? What have I learned, after all that I have been through? Additional Meanings: Self-awareness • Courage • Self-mastery • Confidence • Determination • Skill.

My hope for you this week is that you stop giving your power away and realize that everything you’ve been searching for, you have within you. Most importantly, that it’s also safe to be you <3

This is your week! Make it an amazing one 🙂
