13 Mar The week ahead: March 13th through March 19th:
•
We just had a full moon in Virgo yesterday on the 12th, and you should still be able to feel the affects pretty powerfully this week. First of all, I don’t think Virgo’s get enough attention for their sense of humor—these guys are straight hilarious and they don’t care if you get it or not. Virgo is also a sign of service and prizes productivity, cleanliness, reality, and order; these attributes will usually apply to only what they deem important, unless they’re being evaluated by a higher up. Virgo (to me) is the premier sign of the healer, but more in the physical body sense (think Doctors, Nurses, and Physical Therapists, etc.). Virgo’s are known for being a bit judgey and perfectionists too, so make sure this week that you don’t use black and white thinking to find solutions to your problems or feel like everything HAS to be perfect—employ the Pisces season to help you think more creatively and to learn to go with the flow when things get real.
With that being said, we’re in the last week of Pisces season (goes into Aries on the 21st) and as you can see, Pisces are about as polar opposite of Virgo as it gets. Where Virgo is grounded and practical, Pisces is mystical and feels EVERYTHING through their heart. This might be a little tough to navigate, especially if you keep getting torn between two worlds. Look for the balance within the situation and don’t be afraid to compromise. If you find that you tend to go with a more Pisces thought process, see how you can become more practical and grounded. If you find you’re way more Virgoan than the average bear, see how you can allow yourself more freedom and liberation.
So how can we use the energy of this week to help us? My advice is this: How can you be of attentive service to your most basic needs, especially your health (mental, emotional, and physical)? How can you adapt to the challenges in your life in a more realistic or efficient way? How can you release the need for perfection so you can see that you’ve always been good enough, especially in relation to achieving your dreams? With Spring fast approaching and this full moon in Virgo, this is a perfect time to cleanse yourself and your space. Be honest with yourself about what you really need and what you don’t. Be brave enough to release, detox, and cleanse those things that are outworn or need cleansing, not only in your physical body, but in your Spirit, and your home. This week , be a seeker of solutions, and don’t be afraid to think outside of the box for the answer <3
Think about drawing down the moon this week. The full moon is a time when relationships of all kinds are highlighted, including the one with yourself. It’s also a time when projects started at the last new moon can be harvested or completed. Take stock right now of any imbalances in your partnerships and wrap up projects that need to move on to the next level. You can also set out a bowl of water at this full moon to soak up all the energy. You can use it later to scry in or use the water to nourish yourself with. If you like to do incantations, prayer or mediation at the full moon, this will add some pep to your step. I like this Pagan/Wiccan incantation I found that says, “Mother Goddess, lend me your light. Give me your power on this faithful night. I invoke you into my being and soul. Fill up my vessel, make me feel whole. I stand before you in awe and in love. I cherish your gifts you send from above. I ask you tonight to show unto me. My mother, my Goddess, So Mote It Be.” Feel free to change this in any way you like or to make it your own, any way you see fit. Make sure to face the full moon and out stretch your arms so you can take everything in. Enjoy this powerful energy!
Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–pick what you’re drawn to). The stone you see in the picture above is Azurite in Malachite. Azurite is very soothing and calming for the emotions. It enhances one’s psychic abilities and is very good to use in all general healing uses. You can use the smaller nodules on your closed eyes to soothe and sharpen the eyesight. It can be used to balance the electrochemical system of the body and provide a flow of energy from the 3rd eye to the heart chakra. It is a very inspirational stone indeed! Malachite is a superb stone for treating trauma, be it emotional or physical. It has a very absorbent and drawing nature, so if one places Malachite next to the traumatized area, it will “draw” the trauma out. Due to this absorbent nature Malachite needs to be cleansed fairly regularly, especially if you notice the color fading. Burying it in earth is a very effective method. Malachite has a very centering energy about it, great for helping one find their place in the universe. It helps with reconstruction on a cellular level, particularly the skeletal structure.
Malachite is an all rounder, grounding, expanding, and nurturing. It is a bridge between the intuitive and intellectual sides of ourselves. When Azurite is combined with Malachite, the combination is particularly effective with healing bone and muscle injuries. If you’d like to learn more about this stone, please go here.
