The week ahead: July 18th through July 24th:

“ Sometimes when things are falling apart, they may actually be falling into place.” – Unknown

We have a full moon in Capricorn this Tuesday, and Capricorn is the sign of the reality check. Cap’s are known for working incredibly hard and have a down to earth perspective, but emotions are not their strong point. There’s going to be a pull here to look at things very starkly or to see situations as they’ve always been. This perspective is very important as it can lead to breakthroughs, but it can also lead to feelings of depression, anger and rage–it feels like things will never change and a sense of entrapment might be all too pervasive. So how can we use this energy to help us? The only real power we EVER have in any given situation is the way that we respond to what’s going on. When you respond, you take your power back and you can steer a situation in a better direction; you take your time to think about what you’re going to say and work hard towards a solution that benefits everyone. When you respond, you realize it’s more than just you in this ordeal and THAT notion alone can change everything. If you choose to respond instead of reacting this week, please remember that dealing with the feelings of anger, sadness, resentment or rage are a part of this process too. Don’t gloss over the painful stuff! Face it, allow it to come to the surface so you can work through it, and then use this powerful new information you’ve gained to help your cause and others. It is your birthright to live a happy and empowered life, and it’s your calling to challenge yourself and do better so you can teach the next generation how to do so as well <3

Think about drawing down the moon tomorrow tonight. If you like to do incantations, prayer or mediation at the full moon, this will add some pep to your step. I like this Pagan/Wiccan incantation I found that says, “Mother Goddess, lend me your light. Give me your power on this faithful night. I invoke you into my being and soul. Fill up my vessel, make me feel whole. I stand before you in awe and in love. I cherish your gifts you send from above. I ask you tonight to show unto me. My mother, my Goddess, So Mote It Be.” Feel free to change this in any way you like or to make it your own, any way you see fit. Make sure to face the full moon and out stretch your arms so you can take everything in. Enjoy this grounding energy!

Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–pick what you’re dawn to). The stone you see in the picture above is smoky quartz. Smoky Quartz was known as a Stone of Power. To the ancient Druids, it was sacred and signified the potent dark power of Earth gods and goddesses. In other cultures it guided souls to the afterlife, served in shamanistic rituals and tribal ceremonies, and was utilized in magic and scrying to connect with spirits of the lower worlds. Smoky Quartz’s phenomenal power, then and now, lies in its ability to protect and ground one physically and spiritually to this world, and to absorb and transmute significant amounts of negative energy and release it into the Earth to be neutralized naturally. It provides a vital shield against psychic attack, emotional and environmental stress, and is used extensively in healing and meditation. If you’d like to learn more about this stone, please go here.

If you chose card #1: Your message this week is about the Two of Wands. Your card goes on to say that this is a great time of clarity and success as you direct your focus into achieving your goals. You have acknowledged your options and can now look ahead with purpose and determination. This is also a card of power and choice. It may be that you will need to decide how you are dividing your own energy between certain projects, relationships, or opportunities. You have the power to take an initiative or risk without worrying about potential outcomes. You are following your own path, which leads to the acknowledgment of your inner truth and true creativity. Additional Meanings: Personal power • Inventive • Facing your fears • Seeking wisdom • Individuality • Choice • Options • Partnerships.

If you chose card #2: Your message this week is about Perspective. Your card goes on to say that it may be a good time to pause, take a deep breath, and review your plans. If you feel stuck, do not make any hasty decisions just yet. Sometimes looking at things from another angle or perspective can shift the energy of a challenging situation. It may be that you will need to let go of something or make some kind of sacrifice, which may initially leave you feeling vulnerable or scared. Know that despite the hardships, a more positive outcome will eventually prevail; you just need some time to review your plans. This is a transitional phase where you are able to recalibrate your beliefs, situation, or life goals. Take this time to meditate on your personal hopes and dreams. When one door closes, another always opens. Questions to ask yourself right now: What are my options at this time? Where do my true passions lie, and how am I honoring them? Additional Meanings: At a crossroads • Let It Go • Epiphanies • Patience • Surrender • Sacrifice • Introspection • Meditation.

If you chose card #3: Your message this week is about the Page of Crystals. Your card goes on to say that if this is about a situation: Your ideas and plans are headed in the right direction, so it is important that you maintain your focus with confidence and strength. Now is the time to make any concrete plans and to take action. The transition phase between dreams and reality. Expansion. Good news. If this is about a person: The Page of Crystals is a down-to-earth, kind-hearted and ambitious individual. They thrive to learn new things and are extremely attentive to detail. They’re usually more introverted than others, and feel the most at peace when they are immersed in nature. Their patience and calmness give them a sense of clarity, which also prevents them from making hasty impulsive decisions. A dedicated, determined individual. Additional Meanings: Entrepreneurial • Dedicated • Visionary • Adept.

My hope for you this week as you’re going through major decisions and turning points, is that you respond to your situation with tact and grace. Take your time and truly look at all the information you have and make sure it’s grounded in reality. If you need more information to make a better decision, go and find it! This week, work hard towards what you want and remember that to make a change, you have to start with yourself, first.

This is your week! Make it an amazing one 🙂
