Fuck 2020–that’s my hard spiritual take right now.
Living in Oregon is terrifying again– our air quality has been in the hazardous zone for 3 days in a row with no sign of letting up until Thursday, considering the rains actually show up. Medical officials are saying they have no idea the long term health impacts and are comparing it to smoking 18 cigarettes in one sitting, every time you breathe in the unfiltered air.
Lets just say my nerves are a little frazzled right now and I feel like shit.
Virgo season has me all up in my health anyways, especially around Covid, so staying centered around everything going on has been a lesson in patience and focus; two traits I hope we pull upon again at the new moon in Virgo this week on the 17th. Mercury rules Virgo, so don’t surprised if communication around daily life, work, health and your general well being, shows up. You might finally get some missing puzzle pieces of information, or at the very least, give you the mental stimulation needed to start anew here.
New moons are a time to initiate plans or plant seeds for the future to harvest when ready. While this new moon might have us ready to take off, at least in a practical way, Mars in retrograde will be pumping the brakes, so especially if the info your receive isn’t great, make sure to be careful with your communication. Find healthy outlets for any anger or rage or else you might explode on the wrong person; taking time to process what you know now and using it in a conscious way will go far, too. Keeping talks simple with the facts at the forefront, is key 💖
So how do we work with the energy of this week? My advice is this: Ground your crazy. I mean it. What brings you grounding or makes you feel safe and taken care of? For that, I’d look to your moon sign. If your moon is an air sign (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) communication is important, so watch your fav movies or listen to your fav podcast. Keep a journal and write out what you’re going through or call your bestie and talk it out. Take full, deep breaths. If your moon sign is in earth (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) ya’ll need organization. Clean and clear your house or that back room we don’t talk about. Rework your finances and cut away anything that isn’t working or is excess. Just getting your bare feet on the ground or going for a hike will make you feel back in your body, so go hug a tree. If your moon sign is in fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) you need to punch it out. Exercise is everything, so move your body. Do some kick boxing, P90X, or just dance around your house. Sweat lodges help for spiritual grounding and sex helps with everything else, so sweat it out. If your moon is in a water sign (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) a good cry never hurt you and releases the murder aspect of your anger. I can’t speak highly enough about cleansing or healing baths. Get your finest Epsom salts (we all know you have like 15 kinds) and consider adding a cup of magnesium flakes to help completely relax the muscles. Honestly, just being by moving water helps as well, so go to your local lake, river or waterfall and listen to your damn intuition this time.
Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–choose what you’re drawn to). The top card is the overarching theme for everyone and it’s something to keep in mind or to remember, no matter what energy shows up for you as the week goes on. The stone you see in the picture above is Hematite. Hematite helps to absorb negative energy and calms in times of stress or worry. Hematite is a very protective stone and is great to carry to help you stay grounded in many situations. Hematite is also good for working with the Root Chakra, helping to transform negative energies into a more positive vibration. Those in relationships can benefit from the cooperation vibe coming from Hematite. Hematite can help one to find their own, unique gifts and to release self-imposed limitations, while still maintaining a healthy amount of self-control. Hematite aids in the Ascension process, by facilitating the integration of higher spiritual energies into our physical 3-D existence. This allows those who are doing spiritual work to still be able to function in the physical world and relate to others. Carry Hematite when in need of balance and equilibrium, or when having difficulty focusing energies. Hematite is also said to be useful in legal situations, and is thought to strengthen self-confidence. Physically, Hematite is also used to protect against geopathic stress and electromagnetic smog, and is said to be a great detoxifying stone, helpful for the liver and the blood. Overarching theme: The High Priestess: The High Priestess evokes the sacred inner wisdom that resides within us all. This is a powerful, mysterious force that taps into ancient forms of knowledge, perhaps even connecting to previous lifetimes or earthly incarnations. What seeded memories are rising within you now? When this key shows up, she encourages you to explore your intuition and dreams, and to trust in any new insights or teachings that resonate with your heart. The High Priestess exists as a conduit of the many lost teachings that are now emerging within the new wisdom keepers and mystics of the earth. She has shown up in many different forms since the dawn of time, initiating us into our higher divine truth. She is Isis, Persephone, Mary, Ishtar, and the Eternal Goddess of ten thousand names. Questions to ask yourself this week: What deeper messages are being shared through my intuition, dreams, or visions? How can I connect to the wisdom of the Universe? Additional Meanings: Mystery • Akashic records • Intuition • Awakening.
