What do you believe in?
When was the last time you sat down and asked yourself what your thoughts and feelings are around your beliefs and opinions? Not only about yourself and your personal life, but what about the big picture, too? We need to examine our understandings (especially so if you’re a white person) about the mass protests around BLM and the history behind it, police brutality, and our government, including who we vote into office–to know where we stand is to know ourselves, and to be clear on our views is to face ourselves.
Last weeks full moon lunar eclipse in Sagittarius had a part in this questioning and so did Gemini season. This axis asks us to question deeply, making sure we have good information to back up said beliefs, and if not, be open to shifting those views; being open to new information showing up that could replace old, or worn out ways of believing, assimilating knowledge, or even gathering it.
There is no shame in changing our opinions–the refusal to do so, especially in the face of information that supports a better understanding, keeps us personally stagnant and has literally killed people in the black community. This refusal points to a deeper issue around looking deeply within and being afraid of the of the growth that supersedes it. Learning by it’s very definition is, “the acquisition of knowledge or skills through experience, study, or by being taught.” You can’t do that if you refuse to test yourself, and you certainly can’t learn to do better if you think you know it all.
So, as the doorway to the past was sealed shut by the lunar eclipse, we’re walking this week into a hallway (if you will) that feels dark and scary. It’s new territory that we’ve never been in, but leads us to the next doorway opening on the 21st at the solar eclipse in Cancer. There’s something here around gathering the right information, challenging our deeply held values and beliefs to make sure they’re right and true, facing ourselves and being open to change, so that by the time we reach this new doorway, we can bring all of this information and learning, and all of the mental growth, home.
May we be willing to step up to the plate, and may we continually show up to protect and empower the lives of the black, brown, latinx, and indigenous communities that have been begging for our growth so that they may simply live, this whole time 💖
So how do we work with the energy of this week? My advice is this: last week I suggested a resource that gave 75 things we can do for radical justice, and this week I’m continuing with the theme around finding good information, so please click here to take some time and head over to the Black Lives Matter website, where they offer resources, programs, and places to donate your money and time to the cause. There’s a time for when saying words is not enough; it’s time to take action in any way you can.
Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–choose what you’re drawn to). The top card is the overarching theme for everyone and it’s something to keep in mind or to remember, no matter what energy shows up for you as the week goes on. The stone you see in the picture above is Apophyllite. Apophyllite promotes introspection into your own behavior, and the correction of imbalances or flaws that are perceived. It abandons pretense and breaks down reserve. This is the stone of truth, bringing recognition of your true self and allowing that to be shown to the world. Apophyllite has a calming effect. It is an effective stress reducer, releasing mental blocks and negative thoughts. It has the effect of reducing desire. Apophyllite imbues universal love into analysis and the decision making process so that the mind becomes attuned with the spirit. Apophyllite activates the heart chakra and promotes a forthright heart, especially regarding decisions in matters of the heart. It absorbs and then transmits universal energy. This stone facilitates a meditative state. Apophyllite opens the heart to joy and love; heals heartbreak and heartache. It will heal a jaded heart and renew your joy in life. Apophyllite enhances your ability to receive all the good things in life, such as prosperity, friendship, love, relationships, abundance, marriage and children. Apophyllite stimulates the third eye and crown chakras, activating the higher mind and enhancing psychic abilities. If you’d like to learn more about this stone, please go here.

Overarching theme: Page of Pentacles: The Page of Pentacles shines through when we are being called to activate something new. The initial steps towards our goals may still be in an early stage of gestation or planning, but within this dynamic energy is a surge of excitement that feeds our enthusiasm to build and invent. This Page is extremely visionary and keeps their eye on the prize as they forge their path towards it, one brick at a time, always listening closely to the internal compass of their heart. Their attentiveness to detail also helps them refine their approach to working, as they know how to gauge their output of energy, and see the importance of supporting their wellness. This card encourages us to think about how we can plan ahead and maintain the momentum of our success. Hard work and self-determination are powerful allies when it comes to getting things done, especially if we envision from the seat of our soul. Questions to ask yourself this week: How am I maintaining a balance of love, work, and play? Am I ready to see my dreams come to life? Your mantra this week: I trust my inner visionary. I build and create from the seeds of my soul. Additional Meanings: Adept • Visionary • Practical • Good omen • Dedication.
