28 Apr The week ahead: April 27th through May 3rd of 2020:

Taurus season is in full swing, and hopefully that new moon last week highlighted for you the ability to take stock of all you have. I think for a lot of people, it was a strain on the home space, considering a good portion of the new moon dealt with our safety and security issues as well as our goals and priorities. For many of us (and during an earth energy season), that has to do with what we can smell, taste, see, and touch within our environment, and if these tangible goals are not what we hoped, it was time to do some fixin to get it right.
So as you continue to do improvements this week; or maybe your focus was on money; consider the foundations you’re creating. We want something solid, real, practical, and some staying power. Quick fixes, quick solutions, and quick wins are nice for a minute, but they don’t set us up for success in the long run. Right now we’re thinking about tomorrow and how we can prepare for that, and small flashes in the pan are exciting, but they don’t offer the security we need going forward.
It’s also important to note that Pluto went retrograde in the sign of Capricorn on the 25th, and will turn direct on October 4th. So something else to consider this Taurus season, will be the inner reflection on where we may or my not have power and control in our lives. Maybe the ability to rebirth ourselves and what it is we want, too. To understand better where that’s happening for you, look to see in your natal chart which house is ruled by Capricorn. For me, this has to do with my 6th house of work and health; both things I’ve been trying to revamp. The biggest hurdle I’ve been trying to overcome is my emotional eating and how it keeps resurfacing for me around situations I feel I have no power or control over (ahem..pandemic anyone?). At this point for my health and happiness, I need to learn a better way to handle the stress of feeling I have no control. This has been a lifelong issue for me, and with the addition of all my health issues I’ve had lately, is vital I get a grip on it. For my work part, I’ve actually been pretty proactive, facing the scariest parts of my work lately, by doing FB lives and taking part in online spiritual fairs where I go live and teach about a subject I’m passionate about. It’s been terrifying, but I keep pushing through and facing where I’ve felt frozen in my work by taking action steps to push through it.
As you can see, Pluto will make you face your shit, whether or not you want to see it. But it’s also a power point for you to regain confidence in yourself, throw excuses to the side, and just do what you know is right by taking guided action. Just remember that Pluto also stands for death and rebirth, so if you need to make a sacrifice or let some people or things fall away now, just know you’re right on track with what this planet is all about–freedom through release 💖
So how can we work with the energy of this week? My advice is this: If you’d like to work with the Pluto retrograde energy or better yet, make it work for you, go and get your chart done. You can do this for free by going on google and searching for astrocafe free natal chart. You’ll need to know your day, time, and place of birth. Once the chart is generated, look for the house Capricorn is in. Once you know which house it is, go back to google and look up the meaning of that house. Once you get what the house stands for, look for ways you can face your fears in this space, as well as some action steps you take, too. This might require therapy or talking with a trusted friend, so don’t disregard this as an option if the issue feels bigger than you. Pluto is a heavy hitter, so just know asking for help with whatever comes up for you, is exactly what you should be doing, and may even be a part of that fear you need to face.
Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–choose what you’re drawn to). The top card is the overarching theme for everyone and it’s something to keep in mind or to remember, no matter what energy shows up for you as the week goes on. The stone you see in the picture above is Aegirine. Aegirine is a good crystal for overcoming self-consciousness and unnecessary shame over appearance, and is an excellent companion for those with disfigurement or body image problems. A very female-friendly crystal, Aegirine assists women in overcoming hidden prejudice in the workplace, and lends emotional support when returning from maternity leave. It is an excellent crystal for doctors, nurses or others who are continually exposed to the toxic energies of traditional hospital environments, and shields those in home office and workplace settings when constantly exposed to the electromagnetic fields of computers and electronics. Aegirine expands the power of other stones in all healing situations by boosting the body’s own ability to self-heal. Aegirine is a powerful protector of those suffering jealousy, malice, mental influence or psychic attack from others. Use once a week as a wand in the hand you write with to thrust energies away from you in all directions as you state your intent of protection. Carrying or wearing Aegirine helps force the release of negative attachments that may have taken root in the aura’s protective field weakened by abuse of alcohol or drugs, or by smoking cigarettes (though the effect is more gradual). Working with Aegirine in body layouts or in conjunction with other subtle body healing can, in time, regenerate the damaged auric shield. Take Aegirine on journeys of self-discovery, whether spiritual or traveling to new destinations. It is a good talisman for backpackers for protection against negative energies and inhospitable places and people. If you’d like to learn more about this stone, please go here.

Overarching theme: Ten of Swords: This key shows up during catastrophic events that are deeply traumatic or unexpected and can also allude to lying or deceit on the part of someone you trusted. Despite these shadows, the Ten of Swords indicates the end of a cycle which transforms into a new beginning, although some kind of sacrifice or internal release may be necessary along the way. This can mean having to take the hit of a final challenge before progressing to a new stage, or coming to terms with an inevitable loss or hardship. By processing and letting go of this phase of your life, you will learn to move forward with illumination and strength. It marks the transformative power of those brutal experiences that put everything else into perspective, when we are pushed to the brink of our limits and then gradually come up for air. After this, we are resilient, wiser, and ready for anything. Questions to ask yourself this week: How can I seek out support at this time? What am I clinging on to? Your mantra: I surrender to the deepest lessons. I relinquish the burdens. Additional Meanings: Recovery • Tipping point • Hurt • Release • Transmutation.
