The week ahead: November 13th through November 19th:

1

We’re in the last week of Scorpio season before it turns over into Sagittarius season, so this week we should be wrapping up those themes we’ve been dealing with around sex, passion, power and control, death, birth, and rebirth, intensity, as well as doing the research needed to find the answers we seek.  This sign does not shy away from what’s dark or deep, and neither should you right now, so don’t be afraid of what comes up for you this week or any week going forward. Not only are you supported, but you also have other people as a community who have been through the same thing to stand by your side; no matter your issue. It’s weird times that we’re living in right now, but I’m glad I’m here to witness a time where collective voices can topple industry giants. It’s a good reminder that we should own our power and harness it for good.

We also have a new moon in the Sign of Scorpio as well, so this week is leading up into an intense weekend, where we may be called to start working on or with the darker parts of ourselves so we can achieve control over what drives us. The fabulous Annie Heese of CafeAstrology.com says,

This lunation stimulates a new beginning in the fixed water sign of Scorpio. It’s a time when we can focus on some of the constructive traits of the sign of the Scorpion–passionate, resourceful, focused, probing, deep, and perceptive–and consider how to positively incorporate these qualities into our lives. Scorpio New Moons are generally good for working on our self-mastery skills. We may want to pinpoint the things in our lives that make us feel out of control, such as addictions and debts, and work on freeing ourselves of these emotional burdens.

This New Moon cycle is also an opportune one in which to explore what is missing in our lives that leads us to engage in these self-destructive behaviors. This cycle represents an opportunity to rid ourselves of the “junk” in our lives–material and spiritual. With this potent Scorpio energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives. One of Scorpio’s “lessons” involve learning to dig deeper into the mysteries around us instead of always being content with status quo. Taking the time to understand others’ motives can enrich our feelings of intimacy, forgiveness, and sense of meaning. Scorpio also teaches us that dedication to one meaningful relationship or undertaking can be significantly more satisfying than spreading ourselves around. Here, “quality over quantity” applies. We might want to use this cycle to work on focusing on and developing one special project or relationship in order to help add purposefulness and depth to our lives.”

So how can we use the energy of this week to help us? My advice is this: Is your intensity (ie passion, power, drive) helping you or hindering you, and might it need to be channeled or focused in a different way if you’re not getting the results you’re looking for? What aspect/s of yourself are you still holding back on, and how can you give yourself permission to be open and free about who you are? What part of your life could benefit from a rebirth or restart, and what needs to be let go of in order for that to happen? I feel like since I’ve moved to Portland, I’ve been going through a rebirth of my own, and it’s a been a wild ride so far out here. I’ve met some incredible souls and I’m excited to be doing my first gallery reading at the Gem Studio on the 18th with a fantastic fellow Psychic Medium, Sharon Sananda. I’M SO NERVOUS, but super excited at the same time, and instead of making myself sick thinking about my nerves all the way up until the moment I get on stage, I’m choosing to see the end result and everyone thanking me for channeling their loved ones in the most healing way possible for them. I honestly need to train myself here since my first instinct is to go to that fear and sit in it. I realize I don’t need to torture myself up until the moment Spirit shows up, so I’m working on redirecting that fear and insecurity into joy and trust in Spirit. I love that the gallery reading will be on the same night as the new moon, so I’m hoping too that with starting to do things in new ways, being in a new space with new people and new opportunities, I’ll be able to plant my own seeds that will support my new endeavors. Wish me luck, and when you go to face your own fears this week, know that you’re gonna kick ass. This week, get intense and try things a new way. It may feel weird at first, but keep at it and know that this may also be the fresh start you’ve been asking for <3

New Moon Meditation

Consider doing an invocation, prayer or mediation on the night of the 19th or 20th to help you break free from old habits or to help you get clear on your new way of living. Feel free to use this invocation or make up your own. I like to write down what I’m trying to work towards and keep it in a place I can see it everyday. At the full moon, I’ll check off what I’ve accomplished towards my goals and reassess what working and what’s not.

Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–pick what you’re drawn to). The stone you see in the picture is rutilated smoky quartz. The inclusions of rutile are thought to enhance the metaphysical properties of the host rock crystal, or the host smoky quartz. Since quartz is already a very strong and versatile metaphysical stone, this combination really gives a powerful tool for spiritual and self healing purposes. It is considered to increase understanding in difficult situations, providing for timely and appropriate response and resolution. This crystal can ease depression and lonesomeness, giving us new directions in life, and amplifying creativity. Rutilated quartz slows down the processes that lead to aging, and straightens the immune system. It is a strong healing stone, that can help, it is believed, even to heal radiation exposure. Rutilated quartz brings personal strength, originality helps with insomnia, cures depression, eliminates fears, phobias, anxiety, and releases self directed anger. It promotes forgiveness, opens the aura and enables the process of self healing. This stone is very useful in aura cleansing practices, since it is able to absorb many negativities. It is believed to be able to regenerate tissues on cellular level. It can be put on the solar plexus chakra for energy accumulation, on the throat chakra for the thyroid gland, and on the thymus – heart chakra for obtaining spiritual impulses and energy. If you are surrounded by dark feelings and bad moods, this might be the right choice for you. It can emphasize the energy of other crystals, so you can use it in combination with other stones in special crystal patterns and grids. The rutile quartz of golden color is able to integrate energy on all the levels of existence. It is an extraordinary healing stone, it enlightens the soul and by filtering out the negative energy can remove most of the barriers in spiritual life. If you chose card #1: Your message this week is about the Six of Wands. Your card goes on to say the arrival of positive news! You are victorious and should be proud of your brilliant accomplishments. Your enthusiasm has paid off three fold, as you realize your limitless potential. There is nothing you cannot achieve, and others also recognize this. Creativity comes through connecting with your higher Self–you have learned to harness this, and are an inspiration to those around you! This card represents a harmonious state that comes from finding a healthy and comfortable balance in all areas of your life (mind, body, and spirit). Additional Meanings: Great news • Diplomacy • Conquests • Good fortune • Cooperation • Popularity • Success.

If you chose card #2: Your message this week is about the Four of Crystals. It may be a good time to reevaluate your priorities. Are you spending too much time focusing on materialistic things, such as possessions, the accumulation of wealth, or personal status? You should continue to take pride in all that you have achieved, but not let the illusion of physical wealth get in the way of who you really are. The Four of Crystals can also be an indication of hoarding or negative attachments. Is there a void you’re trying to fill emotionally, by holding onto things that mask a sense of security in your life? Additional Meanings: Possessiveness • Obstacles • Possessions • Resistance to change.

If you chose card #3: Your message this week is about the Seven of Wands. Your card goes on to say that a positive change is more than possible, as you will be able to stand out as victorious. Any projects or ideas that you have will require your attention, planning, and innate skills. Expect to triumph through your own personal courage and inner strength, while overcoming any challenges you may be having. This is a very dynamic and energetic time in your life, so it is important that you stay strong and assert yourself. Do not be afraid to speak your truth. Additional Meanings: Gain • Competition • Creative abilities • Success within reach.

My hope for you this week is that you stop putting people on peddle stools. Putting people above us or thinking that they are more than us in some way shape or form ( or that they have power over us), takes away from the beauty of being a whole person, it warps our perception of what’s good and bad, and creates extremes we may feel we need to achieve that aren’t sustainable or even true. Let’s put that BS to an end this week and start focusing on owning all that we are. That way, when bad things do happen, we can understand how to help victims better, and to stop allowing problematic people to stay in positions of power <3

This is your week! Make it an amazing one 🙂
