The week ahead: October 30th through November 5th:

1

Yay!! Happy Halloween week, Lovelies! We’re now getting into the midst of Scorpio season and I wanted to focus some attention this week on regeneration and what it might take to give birth to ourselves, or to consciously rise from the ashes of our former lives or way of being. As you all know, Scorpio is an intense sign, dealing with birth, death, and rebirth, but I don’t think we focus enough on the healing properties of Scorpio and what this season can provide for that.

Think about what it takes to give birth to anything in this world: weeks and months of planning and prepping and having all your ducks in a row (as much as you can) to prepare for this new life that’s on the way. Then once you get to the birth, you’re in the throws of pain you’ve never known before while trying to allow this new life to pass through you into this world. This is a powerful, transformative process that isn’t for the weak of hearts or stomachs. This is a process that changes you forever; not just emotionally, but physically, mentally, and spiritually too.

On top of that intensity, we also have a full moon in the sign of Taurus on the 3rd/4th that’s bringing in some sweet Venus energy, as well as some grounding earth to help us connect more deeply with the love we give and receive in our lives, asking us how we can share more of that love in a grounded, practical way. The always awesome website, Cafeastrology says:

The contrast between earthy, practical, peace-loving Taurus and emotional, transformative, crisis-oriented Scorpio comes full bloom now. The Moon in Taurus wants us to find emotional fulfillment through the simple, tangible things in life, while the Scorpio Sun draws our attention to complexities, intangibles, and mysteries. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict between form (Taurus) and transformation (Scorpio), and between collecting (Taurus) and sharing (Scorpio). This is a passionate and creative Full Moon, ripe with possibilities and learning experiences. Intimate relationship matters, such as personal comfort levels and values as well as sexuality, figure prominently now. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time—a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.”

“The Taurus Full Moon reminds us of the abundance of what we already have. A Venus-Uranus opposition is extremely tight at the time of the Full Moon, and since Venus is Taurus’ ruler, this aspect takes on even more significance. Recall that Uranus tightly opposed the New Moon on the (October) 19th, and this has a similar feel to it — we need to awaken to a new way of doing things and enjoying ourselves. The Full Moon itself connects with Jupiter and harmonizes with Neptune, as both bodies get closer and closer to an exact trine, emphasizing the fertility, imagination, and magic of our realizations and epiphanies. Generosity and compassion increase and our faith is boosted. We more easily make personal sacrifices for what we believe to be the better good.”

So how can we use the energy of this week to help us? My advice is this: Look to see in your relationships where you may be holding back (fear maybe?) or where you can share more of yourself, and look for a grounded way to express your needs. In what area of your life can you benefit from a healing and rebirth? Where do you need to let a deep pain go so you can start that healing process? This week, regenerate yourself. After everything you’ve endured so far, you deserve another chance to shed that old skin and start anew <3

Think about drawing down the moon this week. The full moon is a time when relationships of all kinds are highlighted, including the one with yourself. It’s also a time when projects started at the last new moon can be harvested or completed. Take stock right now of any imbalances in your partnerships and wrap up projects that need to move on to the next level. You can also set out a bowl of water at this full moon to soak up all the energy. You can use it later to scry in or use the water to nourish yourself with. If you like to do incantations, prayer or mediation at the full moon, this will add some pep to your step. I like this Pagan/Wiccan incantation I found that says, “Mother Goddess, lend me your light. Give me your power on this faithful night. I invoke you into my being and soul. Fill up my vessel, make me feel whole. I stand before you in awe and in love. I cherish your gifts you send from above. I ask you tonight to show unto me. My mother, my Goddess, So Mote It Be.” Feel free to change this in any way you like or to make it your own, any way you see fit. Make sure to face the full moon and out stretch your arms so you can take everything in. Enjoy this powerful energy!

Go ahead an pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–pick what you’re drawn to). The metal you see in the picture above is copper. Copper carries the receptive energies of the wise Grandmother Earth, teaching us to walk in balance with nature. As a conductor of energy, when used with earthly crystals it intensifies, enhances and channels their properties. Copper is thought to assist the body with repairing tissues, oxygenating the blood, easing arthritis, strengthening the female reproductive system and increasing vitality. In Greece, copper was known by the name chalkos and in Roman times, it was known as Cyprium, named after Cyprus, where much of the copper was mined. It was then simplified to the Latin cuprum and in English copper.  In ancient times it was polished to make mirrors and was associated with the goddess of Love, Aphrodite and the planet Venus.  Copper lumps were used as money by the Romans in the 6th through to 3rd centuries BC. Native copper has been used since 9000 BC in the Middle East, a copper pendant was found in northern Iraq that dates to 8700 BC. Copper smelting was most likely invented independently in several different places at different times throughout history. In ancient India it was used as surgical instruments and Egyptians used it to purify water and sterilize wounds. It was used in China, the UK and North America, and in South America it was used to make burial ornaments. Copper compounds are commonly found as copper salts, which give blue or green colors to minerals such as Azurite and Turquoise and have been widely used historically as pigments. In modern times because of it’s conductivity – both electrical and thermal, it is used in cables, wires and pipes.  Its metaphysical uses are in conjunction with healing crystals, to make wands and other powerful healing tools because of it’s capacity to amplify and direct energy. Traditionally it has been used to treat arthritis and bursitis. Affirmation: I call upon the forces of the higher worlds to manifest on earth through me. If you chose card #1: Your message this week is about the Two of Crystals. Your card goes on to say that the Two of Crystals signifies the balancing of life forces. For all that you have accomplished, you should continue to move forward and be proud of your success, but not forget to acknowledge the other important aspects of your life. This could mean connections with friends and family members, or the activities you love and enjoy. It is the honoring of your spiritual truth, higher consciousness, and innate source of unconditional Love. This card also indicates a state of change, movement, and energetic shifts. You may need to go with the flow and adapt yourself to a new situation. This could simply mean balancing out your priorities and making a plan for the future. Additional Meanings: Progress • Balance • Transition • Priorities • Goals.

If you chose card #2: Your message this week is about Perspective. Your card goes on to say that it may be a good time to pause, take a deep breath, and review your plans. If you feel stuck, do not make any hasty decisions just yet. Sometimes looking at things from another angle or perspective can shift the energy of a challenging situation. It may be that you will need to let go of something or make some kind of sacrifice, which may initially leave you feeling vulnerable or scared. Know that despite the hardships, a more positive outcome will eventually prevail; you just need some time to review your plans. This is a transitional phase where you are able to recalibrate your beliefs, situation, or life goals. Take this time to meditate on your personal hopes and dreams. When one door closes, another always opens. Questions to ask yourself right now: What are my options at this time? Where do my true passions lie, and how am I honoring them? Additional Meanings: At a crossroads • Let It Go • Epiphanies • Patience • Surrender • Sacrifice • Introspection • Meditation.

If you chose card #3: Your message this week is about the Eight of Cups. Your card goes on to say that this is a time to release those things that have been holding you back from being happy and truthful with yourself. If you are searching for a greater purpose or deeper meaning in your life, know that letting go is sometimes the first step; this could also mean facing or healing painful memories, past relationships, or personal issues. This fosters a sense of emotional strength that allows you to navigate how you wish to expel your energy, or when you have to deal with the stress of others. After purging the unnecessary things in your life, you may find that you will seek a more spiritual path. A time of great transition and spiritual awakening. Additional Meanings: Moving on • Abandonment • Sacrifice • Growth • Equanimity.

My hope for you this week is that you take the time to regenerate yourself, or your relationships, so that they are a better fit for you. Even if this is just about rebirthing yourself, give yourself that opportunity to shed some part of you that needs release, so the newer, fresher, more fly you is ready to make their appearance and get this party started <3

This is your week! make it an amazing one 🙂
