The week ahead: October 16th through October 22nd:

1

We have a power packed and transitory week in that we’re in the last week of Libra season, moving into Scorpio on Sunday, as well as a new moon in Libra on Thursday.

Any changing of a season or time can be a difficult one in that we feel two, sometimes opposing energies influencing our lives. Like it or not, sometimes you can’t help what you feel, and this week may have you asking for relief. Libra is a sign that’s loving, sweet, peaceful, but not necessarily deep. Scorpio is heavy, powerful, intense, and loves nothing more than to spelunk into the deepest depths available. You may be fighting with yourself to keep things light and airy, while inside you’re facing some deeply emotional, powerful things that seem to take your breath away.  I say this week, to allow the complexity of your situation to just be what it is and allow yourself to go deep but not be afraid of the healing power of laughter, either–sometimes giving yourself permission to be a paradox can give you some freedom to be present while you look for a solution to your issue.

And now this new moon in Libra looks like it’s asking us to break wide open, so we can establish peace, balance, and harmony in our lives with a better built foundation than we had before. The amazing astrologer Chani Nicholas from ChaniNicholas.com says,

“The new moon in Libra on Thursday initiates us into a new lunar cycle. This is one that rocks the boat. Brings about unforeseen, unsettling and important changes in our situations. Breaks us open. Breaks us down. Breaks the things that cannot withstand the shock to the system. This is not a kind new moon but, with the sun and moon in an exact opposition to Uranus, this new moon is honest in its affections.

We can use this new moon to shake loose from our lives what keeps us out of balance. We can allow the truth to change us. We can remember that, when life gets rocky, it is important to lower an anchor deep down within us, finding the stillness that no one, and no thing, can take from us.”

So how can we use the energy of this week to help us? My advice is this: What still needs a good balancing in your life and how can you shift your energy so you’re focused on your personal peace and happiness? How can you allow yourself or give yourself permission to be both deeply introspective and silly or allow yourself to be two seemingly opposing factors at once? What needs to be broken down (attitudes, relationships, ideas?) so you can rebuild it to better suit your needs now, especially if it establishes peace, balance, or justice? I don’t know about you other kickass ladies and gents out there, but the whole #metoo conversation has me confronting some terrible things from my past; things I thought I was over or worked through. It’s bringing up some powerful stuff for me, including the idea that I’m not alone in what happened to me, but also, how truly deplorable and deep this issue runs through almost every industry and institution, not only in America, but the world at large; it’s an epidemic. Harvey Weinstein and Donald Trump are only one type of face of the many monsters perpetrating these crimes, and I hope attention comes to the people supporting this ugliness or allowing to go on, too. I’ve been fighting back and forth about sharing that I was hurt because the last thing I want is a bunch of people questioning me about the situation I’m still working through. So I decided to share that I was hurt as well, but didn’t tell my story. Now, if you guys have been following me for a while, you know it’s important for me to share just about anything that crosses my mind, and I’ll go into all the bloody details with you, but this one is too much and the pain (unbeknownst to me until I had to make a decision about it) is still too powerful to speak. I’m sharing what I did with you because I want you to know that it’s ok to feel that pain. It’s ok to not share your story, but let others know you’ve been hurt, or share everything, or nothing whatsoever. You owe no one anything, but you do owe yourself the world. It really comes down to you deciding what’s in your best interest while doing what you think is right. In solidarity I stand with my other sisters and brothers that have been hurt, assaulted, raped, and molested by these predators and the people that support and assist in that evil. To you brave souls that lived through that pain, I love you and you are not alone. This week, allow the break down so you can rebuild your world with the balance and peace you deserve <3

New Moon Meditation

Consider doing an invocation, prayer or mediation on the night of the 21st or 22nd to help you break free from old habits or to help you get clear on your new way of living. Feel free to use this invocation or make up your own. I like to write down what I’m trying to work towards and keep it in a place I can see it everyday. At the full moon, I’ll check off what I’ve accomplished towards my goals and reassess what working and what’s not.

Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–pick what you’re drawn to). The stone you see in the picture is Labradorite. Wearing or carrying Labradorite allows one’s innate magical powers to surface. It enhances the mental and intuitive abilities of clairvoyance, telepathy, prophecy and coincidence control, and assists in communication with higher guides and spirits in accessing Akashic records, psychic readings and past-life recall. It provides an ease in moving between the worlds, and permits a safe and grounded return to the present. As a workplace stone, Labradorite brings out the best in people, making work life more congenial. It encourages courtesy and full attention to the customer, and assists part-time and temporary staff in becoming fully involved in a company. Labradorite tempers the negative side of our personality, the traits and actions that rob our energy and may produce depression or shame. It assists in reducing anti-social, reckless or impulsive behavior in children, teenagers and adults who are easily led into trouble by others, and may aid in detoxifying the effects of tobacco, alcohol, and to a lesser degree, hard drugs. Labradorite helps develop the hands’ sensitivity, making it useful for physiotherapists and all who use the power of touch to heal. If you’d like to  learn more about this stone, please go here.

If you chose card #1: Your message this week is about the Eight of Crystals. Your card goes on to say that the exploration and discovery of a new task, project, or venture is on the horizon. You’re ready and willing to put in all of your energy and move into a new phase of your life. You are able to look back on all of your accomplishments and career goals, and develop your talents to an entirely new level–this may also indicate additional formal training or education in the future. It is the self determination that comes from mental clarity and focus. Is a state of maturity that comes from living your life, as you expand your spiritual awareness through this active process. Additional Meanings: Perseverance • Ingenuity • Spiritual growth • Education.

If you chose card #2: Your message this week is about the Five of Cups. Your card goes on to say that things have not gone the way you’d hoped for or planned. This card indicates a time of grief or loss as you struggle to see a light at the end of the tunnel. The Five of Cups often highlight times in life when certain conditions are unstable, feelings are challenging or conflicting, or an inner survival mode kicks in. Know that a positive resolution is still very possible, but it will depend on how you focus your energy and thoughts. Try to not resist the inevitable changes, or else you may find yourself stuck in a rut, repeating the same lesson again. This is a time of transformation and regeneration. Additional Meanings: Regret • Obsession • Self pity • A need for forgiveness.

If you chose card #3: Your message this week is about The Sun. Your card goes on to say that when the Sun shows up in a reading, it is time to acknowledge your wonderful blessings. It is an expensive, love filled radiance that indicates a joyous time in your life. Along with a renewed sense of abundance, you have reached a higher state of consciousness–this elevates  your own spiritual vibration and connects you with the divine source of all. The sun indicates an overall positive approach in how you choose to live your life and interact with the people around you. You are succeeding in new and vibrant ways, and are able to pour all of your enthusiasm and vitality into your dreams. When you resonate this way, it is only natural that more light will shine down upon you and the ones you love. Bask in this healing and transformational energy–it has guided you this far. Questions to ask yourself right now: How can I maintain this positive mindset and approach to life? Am I ready to receive the payoff for all that I have worked for? Am I ready to see the light in myself, and others? Additional Meanings: Happy relationships • Warmth • Pleasure • Sincerity • Good health • Joy • Accomplishment • Success • Abundance • Celebrating your inner child.

Be good to each other this week and support one another as we heal from this pain. We are bigger than the predators and those who support them. We will make it through this and we will come out stronger <3

This is your week! Make it an amazing one 🙂
