The week ahead: September 18th through September 24th:

This is the last week of Virgo season until the 21st where we’ll enter into the sociable, balance and justice loving sign of Libra as well as ushering in the Autumn/Fall season.

We also have a new moon this week on 19th/20th in the sign of Virgo as well. It looks to be a super heavy duty healing new moon, so anything you’ve had in your mind, back pocket, or to-do list for your health/healing, NOW is the time to make it happen and put it into implementation. No more delaying. The fabulous Chani Nicholas from ChaniNicholas.com says about this new moon:

Virgo separates. Organizes. Categorizes. Wants to understand. Wants to learn. Wants to get it right.”

“Virgo wants to know the ins and outs of a thing. It sticks with something through the entire process. Digesting. Assimilating. Integrating the information into its entire being.”

“Virgo becomes what it tries to perfect.”

“Virgo works hard. Non-stop. Non-competitively. It works for the sheer satisfaction of getting something done. It works for the sadistic pleasure of knowing that it will never get it done satisfactorily because its own standards are impossible to attain.”

“But it will die trying.”

“This week the new moon in Virgo is accompanied by Mercury, Venus, and Mars in the effort-centric earth sign. This makes for an incredibly specific new moon. Just as Virgo would have it.”

“However, this lunation is far from tidy as its ruler, Mercury, is in an exact opposition to Neptune moments before the new moon takes place. This is very close to the point where Mercury stationed retrograde. Mercury, now direct, gets to complete this opposition while clearing its retrograde shadow.”

“Intoxicated by Neptune’s touch, Mercury is less than trustworthy under this influence. Less than exact. Less than careful with its application of knowledge. Neptune blurs lines and facts. Dissipates focus and and renders solid shapes formless. This aspect can be helpful for meditations and creative works, as it wants to connects us to something greater than ourselves and opens our imagination up to all possibilities.”

“The week is influenced by both Mercury and Mars’s opposition to the Sea God. Sensitizing us. Reminding us of how vulnerable we are. Reminding us of how willing we are to stick our heads in the sand and hope for the best. The antidote to which is always to go back to basics. Go back to foundations. Go back to keeping it simple and sorting through the facts. Go back to the real reason that you wanted to do something in the first place. The antidote to confusion is often times deciding that we aren’t confused. Reminding ourselves that when we get quiet enough and wait long enough, we’ll always know what we need to do.”

“This influence isn’t impacting the new moon itself and even though Mercury is temporarily hampered by Neptune, it is now direct. The work and effort that we make with this lunar cycle has the capacity to be very effective.

So how can we use the energy of this week to help us? My advice is this: When it comes to giving and receiving, are you balanced? Where/How can you start to “tidy up” that imbalance (delegate or accept responsibility)? Is your health (mental, emotional, or physical) any better? If not, what next steps do you need to take to get the support and healing you deserve? How are your boundaries looking? Need to stand up and declare anything? Now that you’re finishing up decluttering, how can you beautify your space so it’s a total reflection of you? This week, get it right. You know what you need to do, so get to it <3

New Moon Meditation

Consider doing an invocation, prayer or mediation on the night of the 21st or 22nd to help you break free from old habits or to help you get clear on your new way of living. Feel free to use this invocation or make up your own. I like to write down what I’m trying to work towards and keep it in a place I can see it everyday. At the full moon, I’ll check off what I’ve accomplished towards my goals and reassess what working and what’s not.

Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–pick what you’re drawn to). The stone you see in the picture is clear quartz. In the metaphysical world, Clear Quartz crystals are the supreme gift of Mother Earth. Even the smallest is imbued with the properties of a master healer teacher. Ancients believed these stones to be alive, taking a breath once every hundred years or so, and many cultures thought them to be incarnations of the Divine. Today’s healers agree, believing crystals are living beings, incredibly old and wise, and willing to communicate when an individual is open and ready to receive. Wearing, carrying or meditating with a Clear Quartz crystal opens the mind and heart to higher guidance, allowing the realm of Spirit to be transmitted and translated into the world of physical form. Resonating at the level of an individual’s needs, Clear Quartz also amplifies whatever energy or intent is programmed into it, and continues to broadcast that energy throughout the world and into the etheric realms. This may accelerate the fulfillment of one’s prayers, intensify healing or spiritual growth, or simply allow the crystal to hold a pattern of energy long enough and strongly enough for the manifestation of a goal to occur. If you chose card #1: Your message this week is about the Queen of Swords. Your card goes on to say that if this is about a situation: Your strength and powers of discernment are needed at this time. You may need to detach your inner emotions or fears from your given situation in order to make an objective decision. A need for an unbiased opinion about something. Look to all the facts before you make any judgments. Think with your head this time, as opposed to your heart. If this is about a person: An incredibly insightful, quick-witted person. The Queen of Swords is able to see through all illusion and deception, speaking their truth at any given time. Highly perceptive, analytical, and straightforward, they embody a maturity that can only come with life experience. Less of an emotional person, the Queen of Swords connects with others on a highly intellectual level while bonding for life. They are strong, loving, and loyal friends. Additional Meanings: Independent • Perfectionist • Intellectual • Articulate • Impartial • Honest.

If you chose card #2: Your message this week is about the Eight of Swords. Your card goes on to say that the Eight of Swords suggest an inability to move forward, as your perception may be clouded. How are you processing your energy and thoughts? Fear-based thinking will limit your view of the world and keep you in a state of entrapment. If you feel helpless, affected by external circumstances (or other people), know that you alone have the power to make a change. It is important to remember that you cannot control the thoughts or views of others, but you can control how you think and react. It is a choice to be either victimized and disempowered, or strong and limitless in your potential. Additional Meanings:Helplessness • Disempowerment • Choice • Perspective.

If you chose card #3: Your message this week is about the Nine of Wands. Your hard work and efforts are close to a state of completion. You have the inner strength, wisdom and perseverance to move forward, but a minor setback or obstacle might suddenly surface. Know that you are incredibly close, therefore, it is important that you not falter. Believe in yourself and your innate ability to achieve success. After this last challenge, you will know what you are truly made of. Additional Meanings: Courage • Strength • Stability • Stamina • Performance.

During this week of transition, where you’ve been decluttering and removing all the old stuff, I hope you’re ready to heal any left over wounds with an eye towards your health. Wrapping up Virgo season with a new moon in the same sign is the perfect chance to start fresh or start better this time around. This is your new beginning; do what’s in your heart. Trust yourself this week and the process you’re going through. Know that I’m with you as your sister in healing at this time <3

This is your week! Make it an amazing one 🙂
