The week ahead: May 22nd through May 28th:

1

Welcome to Gemini season! If you’ve noticed you’ve been going out more (or you’ve been itching to party) and meeting up with friends and family (especially siblings which this sign rules), know that you’ve received a big boost from the social butterfly sign. These guys are the writers, the communicators, and the TALKERS of the zodiac. If I was to describe this sign in one word, it would be expressive, and you might find yourself being more of this right now. Mercury (planet of communication and travel) also rules Gemini (is an air sign which rules mental processes as well as the hands on the body) so these guys love to collect data, which gained them the title of jack of all trades. They know a little bit about everything, so if you’ve been thinking about going back to school or getting a certification of any kind or just brushing up on your knowledge, now would be the time to do your research or get into the school of your dreams. Gemini’s are also known for being a bit up in their heads, so make sure this week that you allow whatever is ruminating up there to have a proper outlet, least you over-analyze something to death or let a fear get in your way to achieving a goal.

We also have a new moon this week on the 25th in the sign of Gemini as well. New moons are a perfect time to start a new project or rebuild something from scratch so it’s better this time. Whatever ideas you’ve had jostling around in that brain of yours, especially if you haven’t spoken about them out loud, need some release this week. There might be a pull to over-analyze or revive a dead horse; make sure you don’t allow a fear or a worry to get all of your attention instead of the reality of the situation. You know what I’m talking about here, so even if you just talk to a trusted friend, your pup or kitty, your refrigerator (that’s where I think about the complexities of the Universe while I look for something to eat) or therapist, know that you’re doing yourself a service, and who knows, you might even get that connection you need to make a dream come true. There’s also going to be a highlight on the power of information or being in the know, so be careful with what comes across your desk this week; don’t gossip (kinda a Gemini thing) or spread false info, it will come back to bite you in the behind. A good rule of thumb is to ask yourself if the information you’re about to pass on is truthful, kind, or helpful. If it’s none or only one or two of the above, don’t risk it.

So how can we use the energy of this week to help us? My advice is this: It’s not enough to just talk about what you want to do. What action steps can you take towards your goals and aspirations this week to make them a tangible reality? What fear/s keep coming up for you and how can you express these fears so you can better see the reality of your situation (don’t be afraid to face yourself!)? How can you find (or spread!) the right information you need, to move forward in whatever you’re achieving? I don’t know if I ever properly grieved the loss of my friend back in July that I helped to cross over, and this week, as I was watching her amazing granddaughter graduate from college, I realized I needed to graduate from this fear I had of letting my pain go associated with my friends death. I now fully understand the people who come to me for readings that are scared to release the grief they have for their loved one that passed away. There’s this worry that if I do that, then I’m also essentially letting this person go. I had never verbalized this, but the suppressed pain kept smacking me in the face all weekend. I decided today to finally do a meditation on grief to help me through the process (I finally felt ready and that’s what a lot of people don’t understand about grief, it has to be on your time) and I asked my friend in Spirit to be present to help me through. I asked her to let me know without a doubt that she would still be with me afterward. Once I was done, I felt a bit better, and then I got an amazing text. Her daughter sent me a copy of the letter my friend wrote to her granddaughter before she passed and she mentioned me by name. I finally had a good cry and I felt this weight release off of me. It’s been nothing but sign after sign today that she’s with me and heard my request, and I gotta say that I know I still have a good amount of grieving to go through, but I’m not scared anymore. I know that may be a weird story to hear from a medium, but I want you guys to know that just because I do this work, doesn’t mean I still don’t have my own fears and worries about the process, too. I’m a human on the same trip as all you wonderful lovelies out there 🙂 This week, express yourself. Your soul will thank you <3

New Moon Meditation

Consider doing an invocation, prayer or mediation on the night of the 25th or 26th to help you break free from old habits or to help you get clear on your new way of living. Feel free to use this invocation or make up your own. I like to write down what I’m trying to work towards and keep it in a place I can see it everyday. At the full moon, I’ll check off what I’ve accomplished towards my goals and reassess what working and what’s not.

Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–pick what you’re drawn to). The stone you see in the picture is blue kyanite. Kyanite inspires loyalty and fair treatment to others. It assists in working through disagreements and disputes, and can aid in repairing damaged relationships. It is beneficial in negotiations, diplomatic missions, arbitration and other forms of communication between disharmonious people, allowing disparate energies to move into resonance and find a common frequency. In the workplace, Kyanite promotes good communication, bridging the gap between different beliefs and ideas, and encourages self-expression and speaking one’s truth. Hold or wear Kyanite when addressing a group, or leading a seminar or team meeting. It sharpens communication skills, and is particularly helpful when answering questions or when there is a need to improvise. For those who have lost their way in life, or are trying to break a cycle of self-destructive behavior, use Kyanite in an empowerment grid to get back on track. Lay out rows of small Kyanite blades radiating from a central Kyanite in six different directions. Use each night to walk a different path in the mind, letting images and ideas take form spontaneously. Continue until you no longer need the grid. To access forgotten childhood memories or to recall a word or name that eludes you, touch the center of your brow with Kyanite. For children who have trouble integrating with others, or are physically different in any way, keep Kyanite blades near their outdoor or school clothing to help increase their popularity. If you chose card #1: Your message this week is about Strength. Your card goes on to say that your strength and courage will only increase as you believe in your innate ability to learn, heal, and evolve. This is a powerful card that regards the alignment of your Higher Self–one who is full of grace, love, and compassion. You are strong enough to move through any obstacles that life may throw at you, which also highlights your state of consciousness. Understanding how Strength mostly comes from within is directly related to how you harness your own energy–this leads to spiritual ascension as you’re able to identify the vibrational quality of your thoughts. Remember, it is also important to treat others with compassion, love, and kindness. Strength also comes from being mindful of how we interact and communicate with the people around us. Questions to ask yourself right now: How am I acknowledging my inner strength and facing my fears? What have I learned, after all that I have been through? Additional Meanings: Self-awareness • Courage • Self-mastery • Confidence • Determination • Skill.

If you chose card #2: Your message this week is about Awakening. Your card goes on to say that awakening is the understanding of your inner divine intelligence. You can look back on the choices you have made and identify the lessons you have learned, with each step advancing towards your own spiritual ascension. No more fears. No more doubts. No more self-judgement. This is a time of transformation: through elevating your thoughts, speaking your truth, and connecting with the divine light that ignites within you–this is a time of profound spiritual change. From each stage of learning, you may find yourself at a crossroads, on the verge of making an important leap forward. This also indicates that something you have been anticipating is finally getting closer. Divine wisdom come from letting go of any negative feelings you have been harboring towards others or yourself. Holding onto guilt, fear, or resentment cannot serve you in any way and prevents you from connecting with your Higher Self. A time to release the old attachments and practice forgiveness. Questions to ask your self right now: Do I need to forgive myself or someone else? What am I resisting at this time? Am I ready to take the next step in my own healing and transformation? Additional Meanings: Epiphany • Letting go of guilt • A period of improvement • New beginnings • New jobs • Transition • Renewal.

If you chose card #3: Your message this week is about Justice. Your card goes on to say that this card indicates a period of deep contemplation as you look to find a solution to a problem or challenge. It is important to understand that the actions you take, the words you speak, and the thoughts you have will directly shape and affect your reality. Justice is a card of energy transference; it describes the cause and effect balance of positive or negative thoughts and actions. How can you learn from experience? You will gain a loving wisdom and deeper spiritual knowledge once you are able to reflect on the choices you have made in the past. Be fair with yourself and others. It is important to not make any assumptions and remain as objective as you can. You alone have the power to manifest your heart’s desire and to experience love and abundance. Questions to ask yourself right now: How can I reflect on my life and take positive steps from here? How can I transform my view of the world around me? Additional Meanings: Legal matters • Impartiality • Business contracts • Truth • Balance • Fairness • Wisdom.

My hope for you this week is that you face whatever fear is keeping you down–look it square in the eyes and see what this fear is worth. Is it worth you losing a dream? If not, it’s time to work through this and trust yourself that you’re being called to do what’s right for you.

This is your week! Make it an amazing one! 🙂
