The week ahead: April 24th through April 30th:

The videos are back! Enjoy <3

We have a new moon this Wed the 26th in the super practical, sensual, and grounded sign of Taurus and it’s officially Taurus season, too! Taurus also likes money (lots of it), good food, and all the security and beautiful things you can throw at them. These guys move at their own slow but steady pace which pairs nicely with our mercury retrograde still going on (which ends May 3rd). Taurus is a sign that needs something concrete for them to build with. No wishy washy dreaming over here, no sir! So there might be a big pull at this new moon to find stability and security and to do something real about it, so don’t shirk away from serious responsibility if it pops up and asks if you’re ready. Chances are with all the retrograde action this month, you’ve had nothing but time to consider what your goals are, and you’re probably chomping at the bit to get moving. Taurus are also known for being a bit stubborn, so watch out this week about digging in your heels instead of looking for a compromise.

Since it’s still mercury retrograde, I wouldn’t sign any contracts or start anything new just yet, wait until mid to late May to do this and in the meantime, gather your information, lay all your ducks in a row, and get ready for your green light to go when it shows up.

So how can we use the energy of this week to help us? My advice is this: How can you work with what you’ve got? What does safety and security look like to you, and how can you make serious advances towards these goals? Where can you benefit from taking something at a slower, more patient pace in your life, especially where you need to build up a skill or learn a lesson? So I’m already having an insane week and it’s just started. I learned yesterday that my landlord is selling the house that we’re renting and it threw me into panic mode. Where will we live? Will we be ok? Omg, I just bought all this furniture to outfit my beautiful new reading room and I have all these readings set up in my home! Where will I do them now? And so on and so on, until I gave myself a panic attack. All these fears (especially around safety and security) came up for me and I freaking LOST. MY. SHIZ. My husband helped me to remember that as long as we have each other, we’re always home, and that my reading room was an awesome place to see how I’d like my one day shop (who knows now, this may actually push me to get my life together and set up a shop FOR REAL) to look like. He then reminded me what I always say to others: When was the last time you went without a roof over your head, food in your belly, or clothes on your back? Through sniffles I relied, “Never.” He then chuckled at me and said that we’re going to be ok and I can rebuild my reading room again, better this time. I see now that sometimes the Universe throws you a curve ball to push you out of your comfort zone to take that leap of faith you’re terrified to do. It’s up to you and how you respond to crazy situations that help shape your next moves. My husband Chris is right and everything will be ok, I think I just needed to be reminded that we can handle this and to work with what we’ve got. This week, get practical about your safety and security issues and find a solution, so when life hands you a turd sandwich, you’ve got a plan in place. Your anxiety ridden heart will thank you <3

New Moon Meditation

Consider doing an invocation, prayer or mediation on the night of the 27th or 28th to help you break free from old habits or to help you get clear on your new way of living. Feel free to use this invocation or make up your own. I like to write down what I’m trying to work towards and keep it in a place I can see it everyday. At the full moon, I’ll check off what I’ve accomplished towards my goals and reassess what working and what’s not.

Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–pick what you’re drawn to). The stone you see in the picture is amethyst. Amethyst is a wonderful talisman for use in the creative arts, especially in darker shades. It assists endeavors where new, original results need to be created using tools and methods of the past. It is often used as the Artist’s Stone, the Composer’s Stone, the Inventor’s, Poet’s and Painter’s Stones. Keep an Amethyst crystal or cluster in the area to focus and amplify the creative elements of the Universal Life Force. Called the “All-healer,” Amethyst is one of the most effective crystals for healing people, plants and animals. Natural unpolished Amethysts or geodes are particularly helpful placed where plants will not grow or animals refuse to sit. It also counteracts negative earth energies beneath buildings or anywhere that feels hostile. Amethyst protects against psychic attack, paranormal harm or ill-wishing, and returns the energy back to the universe after being transformed into positive, loving energy. To increase this power and attract good luck, draw an image of the sun and the crescent moon over an Amethyst in lavender incense smoke. Referred to as “nature’s tranquilizer,” Amethyst calms and soothes, assisting the transmission of neural signals through the brain. It relieves obsessive compulsive disorder and hyperactivity in children and animals. Place under the pillow or mattress, or rub the center of the forehead counter-clockwise to cure insomnia and stimulate pleasant dreams. It is especially effective for children’s recurring nightmares and fears of the dark, and may help alleviate homesickness. If you’d like to learn more about this stone, please go here.

If you chose card #1: Your message this week is about the Ten of Cups. Your card goes on to say that the Ten of Cups is a magical, loving omen to receive. It signifies great happiness in all areas of family life, friendship, and love. It is the establishment and understanding of mutual respect, honor, and cosmic bonds that connect you with others throughout lifetimes. This card also indicates an enlightened state of spiritual awareness and inner truth. You understand the Universal force of Love in all things and the oneness of all consciousness. Additional Meanings: Trust • Romance • Fulfillment • Harmony • Spiritual growth • Friendship • Reincarnation • Cosmic ties.

If you chose card #2: Your message this week is about the King of Crystals. Your card goes on to say that if this is about a situation: It is important to think methodically with your plans. If you look to the future with a clear vision, and move forward with self discipline and determination, there’s nothing you cannot accomplish. The King of Crystals remind us to stay attentive to detail and be open to new opportunities that present themselves. If this is about a person: The King of Crystals is an extremely capable and practical person. Once they set their mind to the task, they will always follow through with their work until it is completed. Being ambitious and dedicated, they are more often than not, highly successful in their careers. Their pragmatism can provide you with clear and honest advice, as they are always willing to help those who ask for guidance or direction. The King of Crystals can sometimes come off as shy or introverted, but do not be fooled by this exterior; underneath, they are highly sensitive and spiritual beings who find deep connections to the earth and nature. Additional Meanings: Business savvy • Logical • Family oriented • Pragmatic.

If you chose card #3: Your message this week is about the Nine of Cups. Your card goes on to say that this is one of the most joyful and harmonious cards of the Tarot, the Nine of Cups indicates a time of satisfaction and completion! Your wishes and desires are finally beginning to manifest, leaving you with a renewed sense of emotional stability and spiritual strength. You are at a healed stage that comes after struggles have passed. Now is the time to enjoy life’s pleasures and luxuries after everything you have worked for. A positive balance of self fulfilled dreams and intuitive insights. Additional Meanings: Romantic fulfillment • Advancement • Goodwill • Dreams • Kindness • Healing • Abundance.

My hope for you this week is that you’re ready to get real with yourself. There’s been some things you’ve been putting off related to how you feel safe and secure in this world. When you can put something in place to relieve this fear (a plan of action?) and remind yourself that you can handle anything, nothing will stop you. What could you possibly be afraid of after that? Clowns you say? Oh yeah, me too. Good call. F clowns.

This is your week! Make it an amazing one 🙂

      Nice card choice, Joyce! ?

Balance is going to be a big theme for you as you move forward with your goals and aspirations. Are you dividing up your time well? If not, time to reassess where your priorities are and get clear about where you’re heading. Your psychic gifts and abilities are on high right now, so follow the calling of your heart and look for your peace in the eye of the storm if things get crazy. When in doubt this week, get grounded and know that you’re in the right place, doing the right things, at the right time. Trust your journey! ?✨✊??
