The week ahead: March 6th through March 12th:

1

I’d like to chat about this Venus Retrograde (March 4th through April 15th) in Aries (new beginnings) and Pisces (endings). Like any retrograde, things get slower during this time, asking us to go within and reflect on wherever the planet in question rules. Venus is known as the planet of love and beauty, and is the ruler of the Divine Feminine. Venus also rules our instincts and intuition, so make special note right now of what messages you keep receiving and pay attention to what your body, mind, and Spirit are trying to tell you; this is the perfect time to work on your listening and observation skills. It’s advised that you don’t start a new love affair or buy brand new luxury goods during this time, but you can buy antiques and sell any items you don’t need anymore, and don’t be surprised if lovers and friends alike come back from the past.

We’re still in Pisces season, so themes of going with the flow, feeling ALL the feelings, and focusing on the journey within are still at play, and I think this season pairs nicely with the retrograde. I feel this would be an incredible time to express yourself creatively; the whole point is to give voice to what’s going on inside, especially if you don’t have words.

So how can we use the energy of this week to help us? My advice is this: How can you look through the lens of your heart instead of your mind about a difficult situation you’re in (especially any love or relationship areas including self)? What boundaries do you need to reinforce or make crystal clear? What’s one thing you can do today or this week to make yourself feel loved and supported? I think a huge theme of 2016 and going into 2017 has been beginnings and endings. This has been some intense shiz that’s kicked everything into high gear. The world moves faster and so do our heart rates, and it feels near impossible to have enough time to do everything. I’ve been (desperately at times) trying to cultivate balance, and trying to keep my calm in the storm that seems to be constantly brewing these days. A huge thing I’ve learned about myself is that I need to be moving or I need to be kinetic in order to expel this extra energy I seem to conduct while under stress; moving helps me to be able to listen to myself when I need guidance, and surprisingly enough, help me with my own self love issues, as well. Walking and running have been such a blessing to me even though I dreaded the first steps. I had to literally convince myself everyday in the beginning that I loved this (I totally didn’t) and that I could feel it making me stronger and happier. I had to play this mental game with myself until I actually started to feel it. Now, I honestly look forward to my walks and runs and as an added bonus, I’ve lost a butt ton (actual measurement 😉 ) of weight. I found it interesting what we can convince ourselves of, especially when we’re relentless. It brought light to the fact that what we put energy towards, grows, so I’m choosing to go with what will help me thrive. This week, choose where your energy goes and make sure it’s for your greater good, even if you don’t want to do it—loving yourself is so in right now <3

Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–pick what you’re drawn to). The flower you see in the picture above is the tulip. The is one of the world’s most easily recognized and loved flowers. The meanings of tulips coupled with the immediately identifiable shape of their colorful blooms make them a comfortable flower choice. They are not too elegant, too romantic, too big, too small, or too bright; the tulip is always just right. They are like a favorite pair of jeans or your mom’s fresh-baked cookies in that the meanings of tulips express genuine coziness and comfort in all of the right ways. The meaning of tulips is generally perfect love . Like many flowers, different colors of tulips also often carry their own significance. Red tulips are most strongly associated with true love, while purple symbolizes royalty. The meaning of yellow tulips has evolved somewhat, from once representing hopeless love to now being a common expression for cheerful thoughts and sunshine. White tulips are used to claim worthiness or to send a message of forgiveness. Variegated tulips, once among the most popular varieties due to their striking color patterns, represent beautiful eyes. If you chose card #1: Your message this week is about the Akashic Records. Your card goes on to say that when we learn that we are in fact co-creators of our own realities, we are accessing the most optimal vibrations of potential experiences available to us, and are effectively working with the Akashic records. When we talk about connecting with our “Higher Self”, we are also describing an understanding of our own Akashic records. We can connect with this source of loving information in order to awaken and be the best versions of ourselves. When you begin questioning your reality and become more aware of your spirit (just as you are aware of your own physical body), the universe has a funny way of helping you out–providing you with divine clues, synchronicities, and truths along the way. When this card shows up, it is a reminder of the endless possibilities and limitless potentials that are surely available to you through the Akashic records–these can be accessed in various ways–through insights, imagination, past-life memories, intuitive glimpses, meditation, dreams, prayer, high frequency foods, energetic downloads, loving connections with others, listening to music, dancing, exercising your body, exploring nature and the outdoors, interacting with animals, being creative, learning and gaining wisdom, and overall, following your heart. It defines being able to access your greatness, and the power to change your life for the better by being open and making healthy choices. Through learning to release the ego, self judgement, or judgment of others. By practicing forgiveness and unconditional love–there are so many contributing factors that may provide a clear navigation of your own Akashic records. It is a great journey that we each have the potential to take–are you ready to access the spark of your being? You were the one you have been waiting for!

If you chose card #2: Your message this week is about Temperance. Your card goes on to say that Temperance reminds us to be mindful of any decisions we make at this time. There may be a need for balance, moderation, or revaluation of personal goals. In the grand scheme of things, and after everything you have been through, it is important to connect with the larger scope of your life. What gives you a sense of purpose and joy? Temperance also reminds us to be patient, loving, and caring, in order to successfully manifest our hopes and dreams. This card may also be an indication that you should bide your time with any long-term goals, and advance gracefully and methodically with your plans. Harmony comes with moderation in all things, mind, body, and spirit. Spiritual growth comes from learning the big life lessons along the way, through a myriad of experiences–both positive and negative. Questions to ask yourself right now: Have you acknowledged and celebrated all of your achievements? How will you would send to your next spiritual stage of learning? Additional Meanings: Harmony • Balance • Renewal • Adaptation • Moderation • Healing.

If you chose card #3: Your message this week is about Justice. This card indicates a period of deep contemplation as you look to find a solution to a problem or challenge. It is important to understand that the actions you take, the words you speak, and the thoughts you have will directly shape and affect your reality. Justice is a card of energy transference; it describes the cause and effect balance of positive or negative thoughts and actions. How can you learn from experience? You will gain a loving wisdom and deeper spiritual knowledge once you’re able to reflect on the choices you have made in the past. Be fair with yourself and others. It is important to not make any assumptions and remain as objective as you can. You alone have the power to manifest your heart’s desire and to experience Love and abundance. Questions to ask yourself right now: How can I reflect on my life and take positive steps from here? How can I transform my view of the world around me? Additional Meanings: Legal matters • Impartiality • Business contracts • Truth • Balance • Fairness • Wisdom.

My hope for you this week is that you’re ready to start loving yourself. It’s time to take the necessary action steps to bring you to a closer relationship with who you really are and to develop the skills you need to hear your inner guidance.

This is your week! Make it an amazing one 🙂
