The week ahead: June 13th through June 19th:

1

If you’re anything like me, you’ve been told before that you’re too emotional. Being a woman (or a sensitive male) we get that a lot in our society. It’s a way for others to say you’re not being logical about something or an easy way to write you off as being undiscerning. Maybe logic isn’t always called for—how can logic know what to say to someone who’s been through hell and back? Our emotions were instilled in us to be used as a natural GPS system and to empathize with others; anger and sadness lets us know that something is really wrong and happiness let’s us know we’re on the right track, to put it simply. Logic doesn’t know unless it has another function informing it, and that’s where our emotions come into play. I’m not bashing on logic, we need it in order to survive, just as much as our emotions, but I’m tired of the war on emotions and the denial that goes on around it, making some of us feel like having emotions in this world is not allowed or not rational. I choose to believe that my emotions are my super power. They allow me to tune into others and not only hear their story but more importantly, understand it, which is the true path to finding and maintaining peace. My emotions also help me connect with Spirit when I’m doing readings, so they can access my ride range (I have so many!) and evoke a feeling in me so I can translate it to the person sitting across from me. Emotions let me know when I get a weird feeling about something, where on paper it looks like gold and my logic would say go for it, my heart or emotions may be telling me something different. My advice to you is this: balance it out! Don’t deny your feelings and don’t deny something that makes sense logically. Let the two factors work together so you can make better decisions and choices. Our feelings on things aren’t always right, so that’s where logic plays a vital role. Sometimes logic can’t catch everything, and that’s where our emotions come into play. Ask yourself what your body is trying to tell you and pay attention to how you feel. This can be a strange experience if you’ve never tried it, but a good rule of thumb to go by is if you feel anxious and fearful or scared, don’t do it. If you feel anxious but excited, like butterflies in your belly, you should definitely pursue that. Then use logic to come up with a plan to make it happen. Be your emotional, beautiful self this week and embrace all that you are. I promise that as you begin to use both abilities in tandem, you’ll start to have more control of what’s happening around and within you.

Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two or all three cards–pick what you’re drawn to). The stone you see in the picture above is black kyanite. Black Kyanite works with all Chakras, focusing most on the Root Chakra. Many crystal healers like it because it can be at once grounding and energizing. Meditating with Black Kyanite can help one to come up with important insights resulting from exploration of the subconscious mind. It is often used to also explore past lives, and also to anticipate how current actions affect future lives. Full of healing energy, Black Kyanite is a favorite among energy healers, and is especially helpful in body layouts. Black Kyanite can be placed on any chakra to send healing energy to any tears or holes in the chakras and the aura. Black Kyanite can also help to open the lines of communication between people, and keeping a piece with you can help out in situations of conflict or misunderstanding. If you chose card #1: Your message this week is about the Five of Wands. Your card goes on to say that you may be experiencing some setbacks at this time, as others ideas or values may clash with your own. It could be that you find yourself up against someone else who is equally ambitious as you are. If you feel as though you have stumbled, it is time to pick yourself up again. Now more than ever, it is important that you stay true to yourself and make your priorities clear. This card is not about teamwork, but about personal goals and dreams. Additional Meanings: Competition • Delays • Unsatisfied desires • Redirection of energies • Breaking away • Independence.

If you chose card #2: Your message this week is about the Sun. Your card goes on to say that when the sun shows up in a reading, it is time to acknowledge your wonderful blessings. It is an expansive, love filled radiance that indicates a joyous time in your life. Along with a renewed sense of abundance, you have reached a higher state of consciousness–this elevates  your own spiritual vibration and connects you with the divine source of all. The sun indicates an overall positive approach in how you choose to live your life and interact with the people around you. You are succeeding in new and vibrant ways, and are able to pour all of your enthusiasm and vitality into your dreams. When you resonate this way, it is only natural that more light will shine down upon you and the ones you love. Bask in this healing and transformational energy–it has guided you this far. Questions to ask yourself right now: How can I maintain this positive mindset and approach to life? Am I ready to receive the payoff for all that I have worked for? Am I ready to see the light in myself, and others? Additional Meanings: Happy relationships • Warmth • Pleasure • Sincerity • Good health • Joy • Accomplishment • Success • Abundance • Celebrating your inner child.

If you chose card #3: Your message this week is about Temperance. Your card goes on to say that temperance reminds us to be mindful of any decisions we make at this time. There may be a need for balance, moderation, or revaluation of personal goals. In the grand scheme of things, and after everything you have been through, it is important to connect with a larger scope of your life. What gives you a sense of purpose and joy? Temperance also reminds us to be patient, loving, and caring, in order to successfully manifest our hopes and dreams. This card may also be an indication that you should bide your time with any long-term goals, and advanced gracefully and methodically with your plans. Harmony comes with moderation in all things, mind, body, and spirit. Spiritual growth comes from learning the big life lessons along the way, through a myriad of experiences–both positive and negative. Questions to ask yourself right now: Have you acknowledged and celebrated all of your achievements? How will you ascend to your next spiritual stage of learning? Additional Meanings: Harmony • Balance • Renewal • Adaptation • Moderation • Healing.

My hope for you this week is that you can access and use all the gifts and abilities you were blessed with. I hope that you don’t prize one over another and you see the good in all. I hope you choose to see your emotions as the super power they are and you use them to empathize and understand others, as well as yourself. In doing that, we help make this place we call home a more peaceful world, and we need that now more than ever.

This is your week! Make it an amazing one 🙂
