The week ahead: December 28th through January 3rd:

1

I feel like there’s so many of us feeling burnout right now, especially if you do any healing work. Burnout usually appears when you’re not taking care of yourself by overworking or overextending yourself beyond a comfortable limit. Even if you don’t do “healing” work, the Holidays demand a level of excellence that no real human can live up to, demanding that we give our blood, sweat, tears and right kidney to the cause of making another person happy. I think in theory, it’s a beautiful gesture, but in the real world, it has us feeling less than and stressed the hell out. All you may want to do is hide and veg out on all the cookies, cakes, and goodies you’ve gathered over the last few weeks. So what can you do if you’re battling the post holiday/not taking care of yourself blues? TAKE A BREAK. Put down your phone, close the laptop, turn off the TV and connect with someone you love, even if it’s just yourself–and I’m not talking about “How’s the weather?” BS, but the important stuff like, “If there was a zombie apocalypse tomorrow, what weapon would you choose?” (If you can’t answer this, then we can’t be friends) 🙂 Do something that’s been on your mind or in your heart. JUST DO IT. You’ll feel so loved and accomplished afterwards you’ll be ready to tackle the next thing on your list. Take a walk or hike in nature, or take an Epsom salt bath or foot soak. Maybe you consider taking care of yourself yodeling from the top of Mt Everest, the point is–do you. You haven’t been listening to yourself, and now it’s time to nurture you back to enough energy to live this life with all the animals (humans and pets alike) around you. Take care of yourself this week and start paying attention to what your body is trying to tell you. If you’re not tapped into your GPS system, how will you know the next step on your trip?

Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–pick what you’re drawn to). No stone this week, but added sage to the mix to cleanse and clear away any negative energy we may be holding onto, as well as helping us to let go of what’s no longer helping us move forward in a positive way.

If you dig this tarot deck by Danielle Noel (this was my Christmas present to myself and I’m OBSESSED–it’s so beautiful and visually powerful) and would like to get a deck for yourself, please go here to pick it up. You’ll LOVE IT and everything else in this store <3

If you chose card #1: Your message this week is about the Nine of Crystals. Your card goes on to say that this is a wonderful card, the Nine of Crystals represents the culmination of all your efforts and hard work. You have learned an abundance of knowledge along the way, which has led to your heightened state of spiritual awareness. Through the exploration and manifestation of your dreams, you have found your place within the Universe and are radiating loving energy. You can now look to the next stage of your life with a new and fresh perspective. Perhaps you will want to spend more time in nature or with the people you Love–perhaps you will take a more spiritual root in your learning. You are aware of the larger scope of your being and are ready to move on to the next phase of enlightenment. A time to enjoy life’s simple pleasures. Additional Meanings: Retreat • Stability • Sensuality • Comfort • Accomplishment • Spiritual growth.

If you chose card #2: Your message this week is about the King of Cups. Your card goes on to say that if this is about a situation: A state of emotional strength and control over one’s life. The ability to balance creativity and artistic expression with knowledge and wisdom. The connection of your inner voice and Higher Self. Seeing the spiritual teachings in every situation. An emotional maturity that comes from the acceptance and understanding of Unconditional Love. If this is about a person: The most sensitive and psychic of all the Kings, this individual is ruled by both the head and the heart. This person holds a deep wisdom that comes from the acknowledgment of love and emotion, but also the subconscious and conscious states. A highly compassionate and caring individual who has a strong emotional maturity. This person is very self-aware and offers positive council and advice to others. Additional Meanings: Nurturing • Emotional • Psychic • Wise • Strong • Sensitive.

If you chose card #3: Your message this week is about the Seven of Cups. Your card goes on to say that the Seven of Cups is a card of choice and temptation. If you have been over indulging in thoughts of fantasy or illusion in regards to your life, now would be a good time to ground yourself and make a concrete plan. What route are you going to take, in order to move forward with clarity and success? How are you going to share your talents and skills with the world? Overcome your fears and make a loving commitment to yourself. Additional Meanings: Wishful thinking • Daydreaming • Unrealistic expectations or thoughts • Temptations • Options.

My hope for you (and me!) this week is that you stop burning yourself out. If you’re truly listening to yourself, then you wouldn’t get to that point. Practice being present, and have a friend help you to identify when you’re going right back to the same old thing you do if you have a hard time knowing when this happens. I promise when you become present, you’ll be aware of a lot more than just your physical state–you’ll be aware of your Spirit too, and that’s when the real healing happens <3

This is your week! Make it an amazing one 🙂

It must be a cutting instrument……machete, sword, ax…….I feel that would be the best protection in a zombie invaded situation. But hey, that’s just me.
