The week ahead: August 10th through August 16th:

1

We have a new moon in Leo on the 14th. New moons are a great time to initiate projects (well, the first two weeks right after the new moon is perfect for that too). Just remember that not all projects will get off the ground, so if you have two or three things that you’d like to get started on, begin with the one that speaks to your heart, and might possibly make you look fabulous while doing it. Leo also rules the heart and the back, so ask yourself right now: “Am I following my heart?” and “Who’s got my back?” The questions might lead to bigger ones, so have a pen and paper, voice recorder, or trusted friend nearby so you can navigate the answers with security and safety. You might be shocked to see what comes up, or an unexpected answer might make a difficult decision just a bit easier to resolve. You’re looking for clarity here, so it may help to do something creative (like painting, singing, writing, jewelry making, interpretive dance…you get the idea) while you’re working out the kinks upstairs. Use what you find, and turn it into something creative, or use it in your creative pursuits. This looks like it’s going to be a fun and sociable new moon too, so get out there and hang with your bests and have a good time. Express yourself now, even if it’s to say “I love you” to someone you don’t get to say that to enough. If you can be you, have a good time, and follow your heart, and this should be a fantastic week for you <3

Go ahead and pick a card (one, two or all three if you like!). I didn’t use a gemstone this week, but instead used a powerful and personal mandala that was hand drawn for me by the lovely Lauren Miller at Seventh Star Tarot. This awesome chick taps into your energy and draws you a one of kind mandala that she feels expresses your soul. I dig mine to the 10th degree, and if you love this too, please go check her out. Did I mention that she does tarot readings too? Not only is she on point with her cards, she’s also the most adorable person ever, as well as the most talented I’ve met for making mandala’s. Rock on with your awesome self, Lauren!

If you chose card #1: Your message this week is to manifest rapidly, think of your desire while you chant, hum, sing, or play music. Your card goes on to say that music is a powerful ally on your spiritual path, as it serves to boost your manifestation powers. Music is part of the invisible realm, and is of a higher frequency than that of the physical plane. It wraps us in a protective shield to guard us from negative energies. It also lifts our emotions and thoughts to joyful levels. By drawing this card, your urged to play any type of music that suits your mood, as often as possible. Move your body to the music, and breathe in deeply as you listen to it, drawing in the energy of each note. Use music as a manifestation tool. First, sit quietly and think of your desire. Imagine that your dream has already come true, and feel that reality in your stomach as warmth, peace, excitement, or security. Feel gratitude in your heart. As you enjoy these feelings, begin to chance, hum, or sing. This self made music sends your manifestation into the ethers, where it coagulates into tangible reality!

If you chose card #2: Your message this week is to make a date for a play day with one or more friends. Your card goes on to say that although you’re busy with responsibilities, it’s important to take time out to play with one or more friends. By drawing this card, you’re urged to make a date to go have fun with a companion. Whether a new acquaintance or beloved old friend, it’s important for you to balance your schedule with some good old fashioned companionship and frivolity. When you play and laugh, you open yourself to infusions of healing love. Friends help you remember how lovable you are! They also give you support without wanting anything in return. Play stimulates creativity, which helps you return to your responsibilities with a renewed outlook and increased energy. Affirm:  “I now have wonderful friends, and free time to spend engaging in playful activities with my loving companions.”

If you chose card #3: Your message this week is to spend time alone, meditating upon what you truly desire. You card goes on to say that this card indicates that you need some alone time. Make a firm appointment to be by yourself in a quiet place (ideally, outside in nature or near some plants) without delay. Make sure that you’ll be uninterrupted for at least one hour. Take a pad of paper and a pen with you. Then, spend some time simply breathing, relaxing, and centering yourself. After you are completely relaxed, write down this question to your subconscious mind on your pad of paper: “What do I want to do next?” Write whatever comes to you in response, without worrying whether it’s “correct” or not. Then, ask your subconscious: “what’s my heart’s true desire right now?” Write down the answer. Spend time noting your true priorities so that you’ll know how to structure your free time to match what’s important to you.

My hope for you this week is that you can let loose and have some fun. I hope that you can truly connect with what your heart wants, and that you can find a creative way to express what’s going on inside. No matter what comes up, make sure that you’re gentle with yourself and others–no need to burn bridges, unless the person is Chucky..in that case, let me hand you some gasoline–talking, murderous dolls freak me out. Anyone (or thing) other than Chucky, just give that person (and you) space. You may just need a little breathing room and a short break to come back with a clear mind and heart.

This is your week! Make it an amazing one 🙂
