The week ahead: February 23rd through March 1st:

1

I want to talk today about working with what you’ve got. I personally have a tendency to think “Only if I [whine here] then I can do [cry here]” situations and then resolve to do nothing. “Only if” statements keep you stuck; running in place, doing the same thing. When I get stuck on the first half of my cry-on sentence, I fail to see that if I just pursue what I want so bad, my obstacles wouldn’t feel so overwhelming; I can just take it day by day. I think it’s easier to whine about things too–it feels like a good stand in for action when you’re too scared to move forward, since the worst part of this is facing my feelings of inadequacy or insecurity. Those feelings have some serious power in my life, and I’m resolving to no longer give them the attention that I have in the past. Keeping small is safe. No one can tell me that I suck if they have no idea I’m out there. If you have a tendency to do the same things, my advice is this: bloom where you’re planted. Take what you have today and work with it. You build an empire brick by brick, not by inheriting the whole damn thing or having someone else do it for you–unless you’re royalty…in that case, tell Queen Elizabeth she owes me a cup of tea 😉 How many times do you think our greatest success stories in this world failed before they got it right? Probably hundreds if not thousands of times. They didn’t allow for their worries, insecurities, power struggles, or fear to hold them back; they pushed through to the other side of their fear. Don’t get me wrong, they still had to deal with these problems, but the difference is they didn’t let it stop them from moving forward. They put a foot in the water the first time, then next time their whole leg, then their torso, then the whole shebang. So do that. Test the waters. You don’t have to go all in the very first time. Give a little and then ask for feedback; first from yourself, then from people you trust. This reminds me of a quote I love by Denise Waitley: “Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end. Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.”  Go out today and do one thing (small or large) that will put you one step closer to your dream. And remember, detours can be a really beautiful ride.

Go ahead and pick a card from above. Pick one or pick them all! The stone you see in the picture above is chevron amethyst. Chevron Amethyst is a combination of Amethyst and White Quartz, mixed together in a V-striped or banded pattern. Chevron Amethyst combines the strengthening and enhancing qualities of Quartz with the stress relieving qualities of Amethyst. This symbiotic combination of minerals lends itself to a wonderfully spiritual stone, which is great for gently removing the veils that obscure some of the hidden meanings in life. Chevron Amethyst is one of the best stones to work with the Third-Eye, enhancing both intuition and physical vision on all planes of existence. Use Chevron Amethyst to help remove resistance to change, and to dissipate and repel negativity of all kinds. Find out more info about chevron amethyst here!

If you chose card #1: Your message this week is to see the other person’s point of view. Your card goes on to say that you have strong emotions about the situation and you may feel upset, misunderstood, or used. This card comes to you as a pathway to peace by asking you to consider others’ points of view. You don’t need to agree with the other individuals; you are simply asked to understand their motivations and to have compassion for their feelings. This process can positively shift the energy of power struggles, much like letting go of a rope during a tug tug-of-war. As you see the other person’s point of view, you open the door for creative solutions to enter. Additional meanings: See yourself through the eyes of any person you desire to know or meet • Let go of defensiveness in your relationships • Look past the surface personality and see the divine within others • Forgive past hurts and start anew.

If you chose card #2: Your message this week is to focus upon your strengths. Your card goes on to say that this card reminds you to focus upon your strengths and not upon any perceived weaknesses. Your strengths could include your loving heart, your pure intentions, people skills, hobbies, or something that you excel in. Even if your talents still need polishing, these are strengths and assets. The more you bless and appreciate your strengths, the stronger they’ll grow. If you focus upon so-called weaknesses, they will grow. This card comes to you as a reminder of the importance of viewing yourself with compassion and love. Anytime you feel yourself thinking or feeling poorly about yourself, focus upon your strengths instead. Additional meanings: Use daily positive affirmations to lift your energy and faith • Speak of yourself in positive terms • Begin an exercise program to build and tone your muscles • This is a message of love or healing about a brother or brother figure.

If you chose card #3: Your message this week is to drink more water. Your card goes on to say that this card comes to you as a sign that your body is thirsty for pure water. Symptoms such as fatigue, difficulty in concentrating, irritation, and excessive hunger can actually be dehydration in disguise. Water helps you flush harsh energies and toxins that your sensitive body might otherwise absorb. Bless your water before drinking it to give yourself a boost of positive energy. Additional meanings: Spend time near an ocean, lake, or river • Rainfall is significant • Buy a water purifier • Avoid drinking chemical-laden liquids (such as sodas, coffee, or alcohol) • Sweat either through exercise, a steam bath, or a sweat lodge.

My hope for you this week is that you test your strength. Take a bold step, and allow your future success to be your guiding factor, rather than your perceived failure. Taking one step at a time, being open to growth, and having compassion for yourself will go a long way on this journey. Pursue your heart and don’t allow anything to hold you back <3

This is your week! Make it an amazing one 🙂
