The week ahead: December 29th through January 4th:

1

A friend of mine posted the best quote today: “Someone once told me not to bite off more than I can chew. I said I’d rather choke on greatness than nibble on mediocrity.” I don’t know who said this, but it struck a chord. Something came alive in me when I read this, and I yelled, “Hell yeah!” It got me thinking. I identified with this statement in a couple ways. I’ve been making promises to myself every day to honor, respect, and love who I am. I do one thing everyday to back up those sacred words, and I can feel that I’m starting to begin to trust myself again. I no longer want to relegate myself to the world of mediocrity, and I feel like I grew up hearing the statement, “Don’t bite off more than you can chew” in a variety of ways. That quote says to me to be who I am, don’t give up, and most importantly, don’t conform to make others comfortable. The conform part has been hard; I thought I had to conform to be loved. I thought I had to conform to be “normal”. I thought I had to conform to be accepted. I mean c’mon…I talk to dead people. I was born weird; I can’t escape that 😉 I realize now that conforming only made me small and snuffed out my light. I have to remind myself everyday that it’s ok to be me, and I’m happy that I’m in charge of that duty now, not someone else. So I ask you this: In what ways have you felt you’ve conformed in any area of your life? How can you break free and become the spokesperson for your greatness?

Go ahead and pick a card (or cards) from above. The cards are numbered from left to right; 1, 2, 3. The crystal in the picture above is amethyst. Amethyst is a remarkable stone of spirituality and contentment, known for its metaphysical abilities to still the mind and inspire an enhanced meditative state. Its inherent high frequency purifies the aura of any negative energy or attachments, and creates a protective shield of Light around the body, allowing one to remain clear and centered while opening to spiritual direction. Amethyst stimulates the Third Eye, Crown and Etheric Chakras enhancing cognitive perception as well as accelerating the development of intuitive and psychic ability. It initiates wisdom and greater understanding, and is a stone of comfort for those grieving the loss of a loved one. Amethyst’s ability to expand the higher mind also enhances one’s creativity and passion. It strengthens the imagination and intuition, and refines the thinking processes. It helps in the assimilation of new ideas, putting thought into action, and brings projects to fruition. It is a talisman of focus and success.

If you chose card #1: Your message this week is to consider the career possibilities that are open to you. Your card goes on to say that you have more options than you may realize, which is why this card comes to you today. While you may feel limited in your career choices, the angels remind you that the possibilities are unlimited. They promise that the time, money, knowledge, opportunities, and other factors that you need are very much open to you. This card is a sign urging you to think outside the box and be open minded with respect to your options. For example, can you return to school and learn new skills related to your dream career? Can you begin a self employment venture on a part time basis, while your regular job pays the bills? Or could you find a mentor to train you while you work as an intern or volunteer? The range of possibilities is wide and varied, if you will just be open to them. Take a moment right now and say to your angels: “Please give me clear signs and guidance about my options related to my divine life mission and a career that makes my heart sing with joy.” Then, notice intuitive feelings and ideas, as well as repetitive physical signs, which are messages from above.

If you chose card #2: Your message this week is that your life purpose involves traveling. Your card goes on to say that you drew this card as validation of what you already knew: that your life’s work involves traveling. You may be called to be of service in faraway places, or it could be that a life-changing travel experience will give you break through information about your Divine purpose. Like a traveling minstrel, you bring blessings wherever you go. This card also speaks to movement in your life, with adventurous and life-enhancing changes occurring for you now and in the immediate future. By letting go of the old and stepping into these changes, you gain a sense of meaning and fulfillment that you’ve desired. The former stagnation is replaced with a passion for new projects and relationships. A third meaning of the card is that your life purpose involves technology, especially with respect to computers and telecommunications. This could signal telecommuting, where you work from home via a computer; or it could literally mean that your work involves computer programming, sales, and such.

If you chose card #3: Your message this week is that you are safe and supported while you change your career. Your card goes on to say that the angels reassure you that it’s safe for you to make a career transition, and that you’ll be supported along the way–provided you listen to you and follow your inner guidance. This card indicates that the time is ripe for you to make this change. Hold the intention that this change will allow you to bring more blessings into the world, as an attitude of selfless service will allay the ego’s insecurities. The more you focus upon service, the less your ego will try to delay your happiness. And you, like everyone, have a unique and much-needed life purpose that awaits you with open arms. When you fully commit to helping others through your purpose, the doors of opportunity and support open wide. Your career transition will ride upon the smooth wings of the angels, as long as you’re focused upon serving a higher good. Continue to call upon the angels for guidance, support, and protection throughout your manifestation. If you find yourself feeling insecure or nervous, put your entire focus on service. When you intend to serve a purpose, that’s when your purpose will begin to serve you.

My hope for you this week is that you continue to uncover the greatness within you. I hope that you allow your light to be seen. If confronted with anything that tries to keep you small, I hope that you remind yourself of the quote above and refuse to be boxed in. No matter what the outcome is, you can say that you lived with all of your heart and that you were present for your life. Go big this week or go home! 😉

This is your week! Make it an amazing one 🙂
