The week ahead: February 8th through February 14th of 2021:

We have a new moon this Thursday the 11th, in the sign of Aquarius. We will also have six planets (including the moon) in Aquarius, in Aquarius season. That’s a lot of Aquarius.

You might be feeling electrified by the energy right now, or totally depleted; a fixed sign, it brings stability, but it can also lends itself to “all or nothing” thinking and feeling.

The struggle this week might be around the new beginning we want with this new moon, but realizing we may need to close another chapter before that can begin; Look to your natal chart to see which house Aquarius rules for you. It will tell you where this energy is concentrated right now; Something needs to be let go of, that isn’t working, or at the very least, looked at and reviewed (mercury retrograde) for what it means in your personal world:

Do you have room to grow in your most important connections, including your work?

Are your connections authentic and real?

Are you free to be yourself in every area in your life, or is it time to let others know who you authentically are?

Where do you need to be liberated from any stagnant or blocked energy?

I cannot stress how important it is to be your unique self right now, not only for your personal confidence, but also letting you know who gets it, and who doesn’t.

Move towards those who get it and vibe with your weirdness. You need each other now more than ever, and the support will bolster everyone.

Weird in the dictionary is defined as, 1of strange or extraordinary character ODDFANTASTIC 2of, relating to, or caused by witchcraft or the supernatural MAGICAL.” And I don’t know about you, but I can always use more magical in my life. Don’t be afraid of the word weird, or of what you bring to the table when you’re just being who you are.

This week, if you’d like that new beginning you’ve been dreaming of, where you get to be yourself, let what’s holding you back, go. Extra points if it’s a mental blockage you’re finally ready to release, especially around keeping yourself small; maybe this new moon is about planting a new seed mentally, that helps you move forward. However this looks for you, clear space, so you have extra room to grow 💖

So how can we work with the energy of this week? Consider writing or speaking about what you need to cut cords of attachment to on the 12 or 13th. Either speak the words into a flame of a candle and blow it out when you’re done, signaling that your now ready to let it go, or you can take the paper you wrote on and burn it to release it. Mediate afterwards by using binaural beats or doing some breath work. Yoga, taking a walk in the woods or nature, or anything that helps you detach from social media can be revitalizing for your soul right now. Whatever you do, trust your insights and visions, especially if it’s a sudden realization or epiphany.

Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–choose, what you’re drawn to). The top card is the overarching theme for everyone and it’s something to keep in mind or to remember, no matter what energy shows up for you as the week goes on. The stone you see in the picture above is Amethyst. Referred to as “nature’s tranquilizer”, Amethyst calms and soothes, assisting the transmission of neural signals through the brain. It relieves obsessive-compulsive disorder and hyperactivity in children and animals. Place under the pillow or mattress, or rub the center of the forehead counter-clockwise to cure insomnia and stimulate pleasant dreams. It is especially effective for children’s recurring nightmares and fears of the dark and may help alleviate homesickness. Amethyst is an excellent stone for diplomats, negotiators, and business people. It calms angry temperaments and gives a distinct advantage in situations where debating is required. Wear or hold Amethyst to bring in spiritual insights coupled with intellectual reasoning. As a luck and prosperity crystal, Amethyst is good for reducing the tendency to overspend, gambling addictions or unwise investments. Amethyst is connected to the Temperance card in the tarot, representing balance. It is a stone dedicated to curbing overindulgence and bad habits and is an excellent aid to quitting smoking, drinking, and drug use, as well as unhealthy physical passion. It also provides the strength needed to obtain freedom from addictive personalities, one’s own or another’s. Placing an Amethyst on the navel is believed to protect a person from intoxication, and in conjunction with other treatments such as counseling, helps cure addictions. Amethyst is the stone of St. Valentine and of faithful lovers because St. Valentine was thought to have worn an Amethyst ring engraved with the image of Cupid. It is also referred to as the “couple’s stone” and gives meaning to relationships that over time, transcends the carnal union and gives way to deeper connection and more soulful communion. Wear as an engagement or eternity ring for fidelity, or as a locket to call back lost love. If you’d like to learn more about this stone, please go here.

Overarching theme: The Tower: The Tower marks those unexpected devastations that corrode our spirit or sense of security; when we feel crushed under the weight of circumstance, or experienced a traumatic event that cast a shadow on our life. It can also point to situations in which the mind, body and spirit are not working in harmony due to passive or unhealthy choices. From the depths, this key may lead to a breakthrough in consciousness, allowing us to free ourselves from the necessary burdens or energies which no longer serve. What is the greater lesson to be learned? Know that for every difficult situation we face, we are forced to grow from experience. Liberation comes from letting go and rising up, and sometimes to do this, we have to hit a low point. Without the darkness, there is no light. Questions to ask yourself this week: How can this shadow be a catalyst for expansion? How have I transformed the toxicity in my life? Additional Meanings: Upheaval • Transformation • Abandonment • Liberation.

If you chose card #1: Your message this week is about the King of Swords. Your card goes on to say that the King of Swords is an intelligent, decisive individual who approaches life with sensible logic. Often seen as a person of authority, they know exactly how to get things done, and exclude emotional expression and spontaneity from their lifestyle. Since they tend to be less emotional, their way of connecting with the people they love may come from a place of rational thinking rather than sweet sentimentality. This type may seem harsh or insensitive, even though they rarely come from a place of negativity. The King of Swords is also very inventive, and may also be responsible for many of the scientific breakthroughs and engineering developments of our time. This card encourages us to think with our head, as opposed to our heart, in being strategic and smart in our choices and planning. Questions to ask yourself right now: How can I align with my own logic and intellect? How am I standing strong within my own principles? Your mantra: I remain impartial and am therefore open. I collect information and use it as power. Additional Meanings: Reason • Logic • Authority • Analysis • Honor • Strength.
If you chose card #2: Your message this week is about the Ten of Pentacles. Your card goes on to say that as a card of completion and cycles of growth, this Ten of Pentacles calls us to commune with the sparks of our soul which echo throughout life times in harmony and bliss. This power conjures strength and security, and is filled with spiritual fulfillment that connects us with soul family and friends. This is a card of positive reflection and appreciation. At the apex of this light and stability, it is clear that you have built a strong foundation on which to rest and reap the benefits of everything you have worked towards. It is an indication of many blessings within your home, family, and future endeavors. Take this time to experience the freedom you have created for yourself. Enjoy life’s simple pleasures, but don’t forget to be generous with the knowledge or wealth you have gained. Questions to ask yourself right now: How can I celebrate with my soul family and friends? How can I express gratitude for these chapters? Your mantra: I honor and celebrate the gifts. I live, love, and play. Additional Meanings: Family • Prosperity • Security • Happiness • Wealth.

If you chose card #3: Your message this week is about The Sun. Your card goes on to say that the gentle message of this key connects directly to your heart – the sun of the body – and replenishes your life with warmth and radiance. When it’s light shines through, all avenues of personal fulfillment and success are imbued with abundance, as the universe supports and nurtures your path. This positive energy also amplifies your inner strength, as your optimism and joy have come to a peak – you realize the underlying current of love that serves your Highest Self, and you are excelling in new and vibrant ways. When you resonate with this high vibration, it is only natural that more light will shine down upon you and the ones you love. Bask in this healing, transformational energy; it has guided you this far. A time to pour all of your enthusiasm and vitality into your dreams. Questions to ask yourself right now: How can I maintain this luminous mindset and light? Am I ready to celebrate the beautiful path of my life? Additional Meanings: Inner child • Success • Soul family • Celebration • Love.
This is your week! Make it an amazing one 😊
