The week ahead: July 6th through July 12th of 2020:

I don’t know about you guys, but this past weekend during the eclipse was intense for me. SO many things around  the past with my family came up (cancer season), especially around the structure (Capricorn full moon lunar eclipse) of how it didn’t work for me and the trauma it caused, but also in how far I’ve come in facing all of this and the healing it asked of me. This has been an ongoing personal theme when I decided to start therapy around 9 years ago, but focused around my childhood and those specific themes I mentioned around the summer of 2018 when the Cancer/Capricorn eclipses started; also finally saying yes to the EMDR process, diving head first into the trauma and releasing it, helped me to finally let go of some baggage I’d been carrying for far too long. I almost feel like it was prepping me to have my son, asking me to look at what transpired and inviting me to become the home and family I needed then, now.  Also, from everything I endured, how to structure my own family in a way that doesn’t repeat the pattern I grew up in, allowing my son to be free, and hopefully, setting my own inner child free, too.

So what came up for you? Do you feel like you were able to close a door to the past that needed it while being able to see all the work and progress you’ve made since 2018? It’s also normal to feel heavy after you’ve been dealing with big themes and releasing things you’ve been holding onto that needed to go. Make sure your self care game is on point right now, drink plenty of water, and get extra sleep or naps when you can💖

So how can we work with the energy of this week? My advice is this: Like I said, your self care game needs to be in tip top shape so you can recoup from everything you’ve been releasing. Also, the cops who murdered Breonna Taylor still have not been brought to justice. Please go here https://action.justiceforbreonna.org/sign/BreonnaWasEssential/ to sign the petition and take other action around justice for Breonna. We cannot stop bringing light to what happened; we have to keep speaking out and speaking up!

Go ahead and pick a card from above (pick one, two, or all three cards–choose what you’re drawn to). The top card is the overarching theme for everyone and it’s something to keep in mind or to remember, no matter what energy shows up for you as the week goes on. The stone you see in the picture above is Pyrite. Pyrite is a protective, shielding stone and is excellent to wear or carry as an amulet to deflect harm and danger. It is especially helpful when one is away from home or performing hazardous work. Pyrite guards against ongoing control, criticism and manipulation by a partner, parent or employer, lending the power to resist without becoming angry or upset, changing the balance of power. A piece of Pyrite in the home or workplace energizes the area around it and imparts an immediate increase in vitality. It overcomes intellectual fatigue due to overwork and tiredness of the nervous system by stimulating blood flow to the brain, increasing mental clarity, focus and recall. Pyrite inspires creativity in art, mathematics, science, architecture and many disciplines, especially those that recognize the inherent perfection and harmonious symmetry of nature and the universe. It stirs the qualities of ambition, commitment and perseverance, and is an ideal stone for students. In the workplace, Pyrite encourages leadership qualities and is an ally for managers and those working toward promotion. Pyrite enhances the protective and assertive male energies in both men and women. It boosts women’s self-worth and helps overcome tendencies toward servitude and inferiority. For men, it instills a feeling of confidence in one’s masculinity and supports the enthusiastic expression of male eroticism. If you’d like to learn more about this stone, please go here.

Overarching theme: The Tower: The Tower marks those unexpected devastations that corrode our spirit or sense of security; when we feel crushed under the weight of circumstance, or experienced a traumatic event that cast a shadow on our life. It can also point to situations in which the mind, body and spirit are not working in harmony due to passive or unhealthy choices. From the depths, this key may lead to a breakthrough in consciousness, allowing us to free ourselves from the necessary burdens or energies which no longer serve. What is the greater lesson to be learned? Know that for every difficult situation we face, we are forced to grow from experience. Liberation comes from letting go and rising up, and sometimes to do this, we have to hit a low point. Without the darkness, there is no light. Questions to ask yourself this week: How can this shadow be a catalyst for expansion? How have I transformed the toxicity in my life? Additional Meanings: Upheaval • Transformation • Abandonment • Liberation.

If you chose card #1: Your message this week is about Death. Your card goes on to say that this powerful card shares a profound initiation into an entirely new state of consciousness, when major shifts begin to stir within your heart or soul. When you hit rock bottom, end a relationship, decide to quit your job, or want a fresh start – this re-evaluation of old patterns or beliefs may force you to eliminate the distractions you have been experiencing thus far. As the old paradigms dissolve into the background, new spaces within and around you begin to unfold. These raw turning points often mark the deepest pathways which emerge from the depths of our spirit, allowing our priorities to become crystal clear once everything else has been stripped away. How have you grown, and what would you like to cultivate next? Where would you like to go from here? Questions to ask yourself right now: What is coming to an end, in order to begin? What is shedding, breaking, shifting, rising? Additional Meanings: Transformation • Birth • Metamorphosis • Transition.

If you chose card #2: Your message this week is about the Ten of Pentacles. Your card goes on to say that as a card of completion and cycles of growth, this Ten of Pentacles calls us to commune with the sparks of our soul which echo throughout life times in harmony and bliss. This power conjures strength and security, and is filled with spiritual fulfillment that connects us with soul family and friends. This is a card of positive reflection and appreciation. At the apex of this light and stability, it is clear that you have built a strong foundation on which to rest and reap the benefits of everything you have worked towards. It is an indication of many blessings within your home, family, and future endeavors. Take this time to experience the freedom you have created for yourself. Enjoy life’s simple pleasures, but don’t forget to be generous with the knowledge or wealth you have gained. Questions to ask yourself right now: How can I celebrate with my soul family and friends? How can I express gratitude for these chapters? Your mantra: I honor and celebrate the gifts. I live, love, and play. Additional Meanings: Family • Prosperity • Security • Happiness • Wealth.

If you chose card #3: Your message this week is about the Six of Cups. Your card goes on to say that the Six of Cups is a sentimental doorway into the stories of our past. It tends to show up during those quiet moments of nostalgia that take us back in time – sometimes they can trigger overwhelming emotions to rise to the surface, whether through reflecting on the incredible moments of our childhood, or the underlying pains that linger on. This card invites us to dive deep within such memories, to seek out their greater implications and underlying energies. As we are living records of every thought and feeling we have experienced, it is also important to remember the inner child who still exists within you now. The Six of Cups may also reflect a period of relaxation and success after finally transmuting any stress, and highlights the self confidence that comes from speaking your truth. In trusting your intuition, new stories shine through. From here, you may see a new route take form, as the steps become softer and more inviting to your heart. Questions to ask yourself right now: How can I celebrate this incredible life? How have I grown, after everything I have learned? Your mantra: I treasure the memories and build new stories. I support and love my inner child. Additional Meanings: Nostalgia • Akasha • Inner child • Reconnection.

This is your week! Make it an amazing one 😊
